Is there a video of the grease case rebuild can't seem to find it
@@LenTraverse there is 3 videos of that on my channel it should be on there
Wow great work. I just bought a 47 international harvester pickup and how they stored the rear fenders the top middle just rotted away. Gonna attempt to rebuild them but if not you gave me a great idea.
@@tobywhitney4798 yes the truck was a lot of work but not a lot of money. We used it this summer and had lots of fun with it. Most people don’t know how much of it was made and not factory parts
What a beaut! Check out Coldwarmotors and their work on the nailhead (among other great stuff)
I’m trying to use my stock fuel injectors to go on this sheet metal intake manifold they fit on the rails but they will not go on the manifold please help
@@Kloco78 probably need spacers if they’re too short
@@weekendatbernies4503 they’re not too short they just won’t fit into the actual intake manifold without busting the O-rings
@@Kloco78 I’m using deca 80 bud I did have injectors from a 2008 truck in it. Maybe an o-ring change will work
Super cool car! Can’t wait to see what it becomes.
Speak up
awesome video guys! had a blast that weekend! always love seeing the drone in 3rd person too lol
@@SpencerFPV95 your drone shot of her and Carl was the best. You get the best videos there.
@@weekendatbernies4503 Thank you i appreciate it! that is one of my favorite videos of all time that ive got
awesome job!
@@FOSTERSFARMGARAGETV Thanks, it still looks good, we have been doing some car shows as well as a couple of 5000km road trip car shows,
A really nice running car, hooks up hard. Let's see more of the mechanics. What motor, rear end and weight? Your driver has got the it factor, she knows what she's doing, drives with a lot of confidence. How about a bio on you and your driver. You both obviously know what you're doing.
@@dsgp7835 will do. Car is a stretched wheelbase 1979 Datsun 210 same wheelbase as fox body mustang. It weighs 2260 without driver. 6.2l from Escalade with cam and valve springs powerglide 4500 converter 3.90 gears 9” . Hoosier 28 10.50 on 12” wheels
Car is 49/51 percent it’s heavier in the rear. Probably why it works as good as it does
I see you don’t have many subs but I somehow got you in my feed. I have not raced in a few years (sportsman no box) My only advice is maybe go over the time slip when she comes back and kinda let us know whats going on. ie. Qualifying, eliminations….. great job
@@DisgustedGenXr with our track it’s no box Saturday and box Sunday we run no box in both classes. She raced jr dragster before running the Datsun. She has been getting a lot of seat time in test and tune usually 10 runs per day counting competition. She is getting better every time.
How did she lose 2nd day 3rd round? Looked like a great light. My biggest fear was racing a female in deep rounds. For some reason (most likely the lack or male ego🙄) girls are deadly on the tree. No natter what round, no matter how much is at stake….. girls are undaunted chopping the tree down.
@@DisgustedGenXr she lost against the dragster on reaction time in the box class car ran the et but we were running a no box car in the box class on Sunday
Weekend at Bernies garage? Instant sub😂😂😂
what year ranger is the booster from?
Think it was a 2011
Gonna have to paint the headlights black too
Probably will
HOW DO YOU WORK IN SUCH A MESS
Yes it’s terrible, there’s 5 cars in there and not much room around them, also my kids and friends are there all the time working on their stuff.
Great info I got from this, thanks for sharing
Hope it helps
What transmission?
😂 sorry I dint know how I missed that part but I did hear it the second time 4l80e
Got to have overdrive. If you’re doing road trips. We got the donor drivetrain out of the van last weekend should be at the car again shortly
Do the seats still recline ?
They tip ahead I’m not sure on reclining back where it’s a regular cab truck it’s touching the cab
What are the spindles and struts from. Year and make please. Great job
1989 5.0 mustang
Great job! Sounds wicked!
It’s crazy loud.. on his first race the guy in the other lane thought something fell off his car and let off. It’s louder than the dragsters
Looks good
Have to load up some more videos, the front end is finished
Bernie I have a 5.3 engine with a standalone harness in a 95 mustang. I need to tap into the existing harness for power, should I hookup to an existing fuse in the cars fuse block or what do you think would be the best way to do it??? I have no experience with this kind of hookup at all. Your help would be very much appreciated! Thank you and I would love to drive that car when it is done. Thanks!
The stand alone harness comes with its own fuse box you should only need to supply a key switched positive from the mustang harness or ignition switch. It is possible to get it from the fuse box as well. The only other power wires go to the starter battery cable and fuel pump supply wire which can be constant or switched positive. Hope it helps
In saying that I have a 6.0l ls going into that 55 ford custom line with an Amazon stand alone harness. It’s basically what you are doing and I will be putting it on RUclips in the next couple of months
Thanks!@@weekendatbernies4503
Thank you!@@weekendatbernies4503
I couldn’t really see what you were doing you had a camera in the wrong place
G day just seen clip i am doing the same on a holden 1 ton chassis
I’m sure it will be nice. The old trucks are awesome. Mine is just about finished. I should have it ready by the time the snow is gone. Good luck with the build
Leave it to Chrysler, to change the headlights you have to remove the entire front half of the car.😂
Better do 2 at a time the other side is usually not far behind
You don't hang the weights on the housing.
Our only track here on the island is a slick prep. We haven’t had to add weight yet
to much red grill would have looked better chromed
Yeah I’m putting some kind of bumper on it. The back was the same way the bottom under the tailgate was too big. The bumper helped the look. I’m thinking of some stainless steel on the front grill area.
Use 2 pickle forks(ball joint)between bearing and pulley .180 degrees apart. Tap them equally will wedge off pulley. Keep blower tilted towers floor so bolts won't fall out. Either put elastic around bolt or I rings to hold them in place.
Yup. Should work good
How do you get it registered
4 affadavids with mrd
Took forever to get it done
Don’t know if I’d bother with the hassle on another build.
Promo*SM 💕
I’m a Chevy guy myself but, you’ve built yourself a nice looking truck. Great job, keep it up and thanks for sharing!
I’m a Chevy guy as well. Probably why it’s on an S10 frame with a 5.3 vortec and 4l60
@@weekendatbernies4503 I’ll go back and check out the whole build, looks interesting. Even more so now! Lol
There’s a pile of videos there. We have a 6.2 ls in a Datsun drag car as well as a turbo 5.3 square body and twin turbo 6.0l firebird
Watched your whole build. Want to do something similar for my own dodge power wagon. It has a flatbed on it now, but I've always wanted a stepside. I can't find a dodge one, though. Thank you for the very detailed videos. My plan is to build my own warlock since i cant find one to buy. Lol
The whole box was bent up by a local sheet metal shop It turned out good. Love the power wagons there awesome
Great job harley loves it
Thanks
Nice Job Bernie .. it’s looking great !
Big difference from when we bought it home
@@weekendatbernies4503 honestly when I see the thumbnail I couldn’t believe that’s where you were at with it. Keep us updated on this one !
That has come along way. Nicely done.
It’s getting near the end now I want to drive it
Truck is looking good. Great job!
Thanks
Mecanically solution is not acceptable. Maybe for less noise is good idea but for "frotement" metal on the metal is not god idea. I think that TORO CHANGED MECANICAL IDEA W/NORMAL BEARING. The tiny washer before pulley instalation for what reason is it over there? After finished installation the pulley moves from back a lot. It is normal?
It usually moves a little after installation
Great idea! Was contemplating giving up on my Foxbody because my rear frame rails are both going, passenger side is worse... My only issue would be how do you keep the factory bumper brackets in the stock location?
The piece of steel going across the rear would have to be long enough to reach the bumper brackets then weld flat plate the size of the brackets on to the cross piece and bolt the bumper brackets to it
@@weekendatbernies4503 did you do this on yours, or I guess you were more building a track car? That makes sense, mine will be a street car, so il definitely need the stock bumper brakets
It was a track car I was building for a friend but could have been easily put on the street. I always recommend keeping it on the street even if it’s a coffee or show and shine with friends
@@weekendatbernies4503 awesome! I'm gonna attempt a similar repair as your video, only difference, I'd like to maintain the factory fuel tank. So il have to see if it will fit between the rails...
👍
I didn't understand what is inside of the bearing/bushing w/copper, how is working together w/drive axle? The hole of the bearing/bushing will be ovale after a time because missing the grease. The bearing w/role is the best. The bushing w/copper is using continu itself and in same time the drive axle. This is not acceptable, the drive axle must stay to the original dimension in diametre. The bushing copper is not correct solution for this application. When the bushing inside copper is finished the bushing frame iron will continu to distroy the drive axle. The bushing copper is all the time dry, no any grease, etc. A lot of heat is acumulate during rotation. Bad mecanical solution.
A bearing would have been better but the bushing lasts quite a long while, its usually 5 years or so before its an issue, even with our wet east coast snow,
WHEN THE Mecanic PUT THE NEW BEARING IN HIS 2 x METAL "ROOM" I think he made a mistake. The complet bearing must be put in 2x metal "room" and not separately. I ASK MECANIC IF THE BEARING MUST BE GREASSED INSIDE DIAMETER COPPER W/CONTACT W/THE SHAFT 7/8" DIAMETER?. The bearing has one screw. This screw in allen head must be tight after installing the bearing on the shaft in right position? The big pulley must go down to max. possible in assembly action or flush w/shaft finish side? What role is the tinny, tinny washer after installing the bearing and before installing the big pulley? What is the square head dimension for the 2x screw big puley?
The hex head is to locate the bearing in the metal housing so it doesn’t rotate and the thin washer is just a wear/thrust washer so the pulley is not directly touching the bearing. A little grease here will also help. The square bolts may be 1/4 I didn’t have the proper socket for it. They are great blowers I service about 5 different brands for where I work probably 70 blowers in total and the toro give very little trouble.
wicked video loved seeing it !! going to have to do a video soon on the car if you guys are down !!
Great video Bernie! Really miss the Atl Nats. With any luck I'm hoping to go next year. Been too long now.
Loves it !! Another big weekend starting today !
sick cant wait to see her out to the track !!

What vehicle was that sensor from?
It was from a 6.2 or 6.5 chevy diesel. The one before the duramax
@@weekendatbernies4503 good old Detroit ?
Aha. I just picked up an 826 LE with this problem. I have most of it apart but just needed to know the bushing removal sequence. Where did you get the replacement parts from?
Picked them at the toro dealer, it is also available on Amazon
