Have I Got A Story For You
Просмотров 30 тыс.6 лет назад
Another video from my childhood that I could not find anywhere else. Shari Lewis: "Have I Got A Story For You". This was taken directly from a recorded tape, so the quality is low and there are no credits. Sorry about that. I own nothing from this video. The contents of the video are owned by MGM/UA.

I've seen quite a few people looking for this video from their childhood music classes (myself included). Luckily, I was able to find a physical copy. So, I decided to upload it and make it easier for people to find. I do not own anything from this video. This production of The Adventures of Peer Gynt is owned by Jim Gamble.

i have been looking for this video for around 15 years now. I was highly convinced that this was a weird fever dream that I had. THANK YOU SO MUCH!! lol
My father owned many of Gamble’s productions on VCR. Growing up in a musical household, I watched these plays as a young kid. Pretty sure the first time I saw this one was when I was 3 or 4. And god DAMNIT it scared the ever loving shit out of me. I still get uneasy every time I hear that laugh and see her face. It’s like I turn back into that little kid again. I’m a professional musician now. Hopefully I do not have to play Hall of the Mtn King at any point in my career 😂
I remember the Arabian dance part where the puppet sweeps the foot around on the ground. Recalled a totally different background than pictured here. Guess I was wrong.
Who played the part of Clara in this version just curious
That grandfather puppet still creeps me out and I’m 21
The end credits had not appeared in this television special.
Who watched this in school
I've been looking for this film for a while and finally I found it! I haven't seen this movie since elementary school and I loved it❤❤
this gave me nightmares
Me too
I love this puppet show
same
Haven’t seen this since elementary school 😭😭
I saw this guy when I was 11(?), in LA... 1989? Same puppets, same everything... I didn't want to go because I thought I was too old for "puppet shows", but we had free tickets, so there I went... It was really actually pretty cool, but what I remember most is really having to pee as soon as it was too late to get up and move around... I'll always associate the music with that feeling of having to pee at a bad time.
The amount of nostalgia this just brought me. Last time I saw this was in elementary school. Now I’m a senior in high school. Man, I wish I could go back to those days.
When, the mouse king steps on the scene, it sounds like a gun was fired.
I thought the Christmas tree really an owl
21:30 this gives me nightmares
These puppet show gives me the nightmares
My father is a puppeteer and this was what we watched every Christmas when I was young. It's every bit as good as I remember!
All the comments: how this traumatized their young minds. Me, who saw this as an adult: I understand, but I might watch this again to be sure.
Remember watching this in First grade music class. The entire class erupted in laughter when the belly dancer came out 😅
That part scared me and gave me nightmares!
More please
Jim gamble was puppet show does a disney 2018 in films or fantasia 1940s. Lol it was a scare me like childhood vhs tape.
After seeing all the comments, apparently I had the good idea to close my eyes halfway during the tape.

Does anyone remember the Peter and the Wolf video? There’s that part in it, where the wolf ate the conductor- and Peter was a violin for some reason. Both of these moments traumatized me as a child.
i finally found this, i knew that unexplained anxiety i felt from hall of the mountain king existed for a reason. i must have repressed that it was so effed up looking but i knew it was unsettling
thought i was the only one!!! Hall of the mountain king, scary!!!!
Hey I still would like to see Hansel and Gretel from this same Jim Gamble Guy and Twas the Night Before Christmas please
This should get more likes!!!
Holy shit I’ve been looking for this for years !!!!
Saw this in music class back in 2001. Creeped me out then creeps me out even more now!!!

Hey I agree can you please upload Hansel and Gretel and Peter and the Wolf and Twas the Night Bearfore Christmas please thank you
I saw this in Elementary School during Media class.
WHY WERE THEY SHOWING US THIS AS KIDS!?!!! lol
This confirms for me that marionettes are truly magic. I understand that it be solve this in the wrong mind space right a really young age it could be scary. But by the looks of the kids waving at the end some of them really fell for the story and characters.
I saw this once in Elementary. My music teacher showed us this.
I didn't see this in music class. My music teacher mom showed it to me. While it kinda scared me, I actually thought it was cool. Hearing In the Hall of the Mountain King has given me nostalgia ever since.
Same exact here
how many of you are from WA and watched this in music class in elementary?
Saw this in art class when I was in elementary school. Had flashbacks to it because of one of the songs from it also being used in Mouth Dreams for Ain't. Just looked up 'puppets in the hall of the mountain king' and it came up.
Shoutout to the music teacher who showed me this in elementary school and I still remember it 20+ years later lol
I'm not scared of pitch black attics and the outdoors at 11pm but this mentally terrifys me
