Can I ask the difference in the 5PDC vs the 5PNC? Other than body shape? I want something more on the full bassy side when unplugged.

Just as with many of his guitars it has a "runout" top. Odd that he makes the 00 12 fret with a solid headstock and most of his 14 fret guitars with a slot head. I have yet to play one but understand they are excellent guitars.

My dad produced one custom made for me and it is by far the best guitar I’ve ever played. The difference is in the materials: Back and sides: Ziricote wood from Central America Top : AAAA Classical Sound board Fingerboard : Cremical African Exotic Ebony Head plate : Ziricote wood Central America Decor : Mother of pearl New Zealand Guitar neck : African Mahogany To any guitar enthusiasts out there, building your own guitar is possible. Do your research, start with cheap materials, and once you figure out how to do it, buy quality parts and create your dream instrument. I wish I could post a pic of my guitar here. €1000 raw materials, about €180 to have it polished. It would cost around €10000 in a custom shop.

I have a 00-60 Love it !

Not overly impressed if I'm honest. It's very bright, but has a Martin sounding over all tone. I guess tone is a preference which is subjective to the listener/player, but it's not very appealing to me, I prefer a balanced, warmer sound.

Just got this guitar and it’s the best looking and best sounding guitar I’ve ever played. The satin finish makes it look and feel premium and the appointments are incredible. This one will stay with me for the rest of my life.

My '43 was stolen in '65 and refinished at Martin.

Do you have any idea what year that one is? I’m very interested. Trying to avoid the dreaded Martin body binding issues.

I still do not understand why this instrument is known as 0000. Is it the width of the lower bout dimensions ,or the thicknesses of the back and sides. Or is it strictly a cf martin thing.

Not saying you are a bad player, at all. But when you play play a G on the 6th string, can't you hear the extreme fret buzz, on all your videos? Couple helpful suggestions. Either place you finger closer to the fret or don't snap the string so hard with that powerful thumb you have. Just some helpful suggestions. Hope you don't take it wrong. Best of luck to you.

Man, this is a stunning guitar. Was in Gruhn's shop last week and played this live. Keep thinking about it. Something special about the Mahogany back and sides vs. Rosewood. Considering selling my D-18 to get it.

There's the 'bong' of an over-light string in there I think, so it might be good to go up a guage... And I wonder how it would be with Retro Monel metal strings. Just my taste, maybe
