I've been thinking about Laura a lot lately and today I found this memorial mass. Thank you so much for posting! When I think of Laura I am comforted and I so look forward to seeing her again and getting to run through fields with her. Then we could sit by a stream and ponder the Scriptures together.

Also, I'm pretty sure I did meet my guardian angel. And I was in awe, and completely terrified.

The point of the Adam and Eve story is to justify what men do to women. It exonerates Adam basically, he was born to tend to that garden, he was built to work. The snake basically got away. But God, the merciful, decided to justify marriage, which basically means as a woman you are born to be a sex slave, a maid, a servant to men. And it also tries to do a good job of making it women's fault that men can't stop thinking about sex. She by far had the worst punishment. And didn't God know that Adam was being a little sh*t by using Eve as a scapegoat? He must have known

If God didn't create death, yet he created life. And if death is the product of human sin, then why do trees die? Why do bugs die. Why do dogs die. The tree doesn't resist death. It decays as shelf fungus forms on the log, like Turkey tail here in my state, and Turkey tail prevents the animals that consume the fungus from getting cancer. And back to the soil it goes. But the tree commits no sin.

Congradulation on your wedding today. You both were prayed for this morning as one of the intentions by a member of my Cursillo friends I think Connie from Elmira area at our weekly Ultreya over Zoom Scott, Peter an I were parishioners church in Hesson Ontario when Fr Graham was there and we knew your parents Barb & Chris. We took great joy in sitting behind your family when you were very young admiring the dedication your parents took bringing you all to church at the same time. It was truly a witness to many. Beautiful service and lovely music. I never met Peter but his daughter Nancy is a good friend. I know Peter must have been a wonderful father and husband to have raised such a warm, generous, faithful and good hearted daughter like Nancy. He was a great role model.
