The textures are like that , they are not material textures and only good for base or for distant view, for closeup you need to use the actual pbr material textures, that's why it is important to export the greyscale masks. You may use quixel mixer for start
Till minute 4 it's a great tutorial… but then you do a lot of sht in a really quick time without any notes or something. This is not the way to make a tutorial. I'm already watching it in 0.5x speed… bru pls just explaining why you delete half of it and do the exact same again ???? This could have been the best tutorial out there...
How can I download this Gaea setup? I tried to follow you but most of the nodes went by way to fast for me to know what you did. Any option to download this Gaea save?
Speak my friend, everything is fine with you, so I want to create an island in this program, but I watch and watch videos and I don't understand anything, you know, and I wanted to know if you could teach me or give me any tips please, I need to make an island with several biomes because I'm going to switch to Minecraft for my project that I'm developing Note, I'm Brazilian
I wonder what the geo of the hay of the roof is like, it looks very good. I guess it has to be planes, texture with alpha, but at the same we can feel like theres voulme in it urghh whats the secret
Hey, the roof's hay does consists of alpha planes stacked on top of each other. I used the foliage tool to scatter them on the roof's mesh. inspired from this tutorial: ruclips.net/video/SYOqqZE85M8/видео.html&ab_channel=Quixel As for the displacement, it was only used on the windmill in the background, and it does using nanite (more visible in the Artstation post) Cheers!
Friend, I'm a Brazilian learning with the intention of developing a game, and what you did helped me A LOT, I was wanting to develop a big world with a very detailed scenario, but I don't have enough creativity to create something from scratch straight from Unreal Engine, there I was looking for something of the genre. Can you tell me how to use Gaea Erosion Studio? I wanted to do something on the map with a very large lake, which hydroelectric service.
Hey, I'm glad that my video was helpful to you, I don't have much experience with erosion studio so I can't help you with that. Good luck with your game development!
mainliy just the workflow, Gaea is node Based and World Creator is layer based(and more user friendly), both are great! though Gaea is knowed to have better erosion simulation than WC, but I don't know if that's still the case.
@@Xihkemel Yeah sure, I use gaea as much as possible for landscapes, its just in this paticular scene I've failed in it's composition so the landscape isn't really visiable.
Sir which version you are using some of the options are not their in toolbox
I believe it was version 1.3, in the latest 2.0 version they did switched up a few things and names...
clean and clear logic
This was immensely helpful, thank you!!

Dude mind to explain what you are doing by talking ?
Some people aren’t comfortable with talking on camera, besides, this isn’t a tutorial. This is just showing the process.
Noice... this is just what I've been looking for.
I love this. The only issue is the textures are so low res when I do this even at 8k export-is there a way around that?

at the 6min when u press the rivers and build, how do u get that tile that says graph? and then change it to png. i cant get that?
You can press F3 on nodes you want to export, it will add the node as output in the build tab.

Did you use displacement maps on nanite meshes by any chance?

Did you use the island map for this scene or is this a totally different scene?
Hey, that was a diffrent project and landscape.
@@saveliyrehels Ahh okay, just wonder do you think landscape generation with gaea is a viable option to use for scenes like this one?

Really great tutorial, thank you :) how would we then export this into Unreal?
Hey, glad you liked it. There are several tutorials available on youtube on this topic, you can checkout Smart Poly's video for example!
Awesome! How much work has been done
