You vidios are incredible also do you plan to add more bullet varients like a green buttet that chases you until you ghost through it

Thank you so much! To answer your other comments, I'm unsure when the game will come out - I'm hoping for mid-2025. I'm not planning to add other guns to keep the scope smaller & so that I can get the game done quicker.

wut about a boss with only one phase? like a shadow spirit that breaks up the main platform for an attack that, ur not gonna survive if u cant make it to a broken piece of the platform in a distance from the attack
@OfficialAustrikerIRL Yeah, I honestly might add a very tiny single-phase boss just to add a bit more content
I heard the ending bit about speaking with intonation and i totally agree with you, i think the way you spoke in this video was perfect because i prefer more realistic tone over the "mr beast" persona many youtubers do nowadays.

Insted of an eye picking you up, you could make a clumsy one that will bump you on an other eye to remind you of the ghost mecanic
The game seems really cool, and the details really add depth in it. And really want to try it ! +1sub
I would have troubles with the undodgable attack if you didn't put every little detail into your dev log. I don't mean that in a mean way, it's just that usually you shouldn't spoil every detail in a dev log because it could ruin the experience for people who play it after watching the dev logs.
thanks for the feedback, your points are valid. I'll need to do some more user testing and maybe modify that attack in future
you should add a rocket launcher, high damage, but slams you into arena wall because of the recoil, it'd be a level exclusive weapom for a level with a bunch of random walls
piskel do be like that that is why I got aesprite but I'll see if It is really better
what if you added an attack where you have 2 deadly lasers spinning around the boss in opposite directions and you have to ghost through one of them to survive
The ways of attacking the bosses are pretty mediocre, how about gaining an ability from every boss? For example a beam that takes awhile to charge but can deal alot of damage at once or maybe ghosting through a boss makes them take damage (depends on the phase)
you're right that the attack system is a bit too simple. for now, I'm planning to keep it simple for the sake of scope so I can focus on adding complexity in the bosses. I wish I had the time to add more interesting attacks though!
@@okay_cam that's fair as the game is focused around the bosses being interesting, the ghosting mechanic is Probably enough to support that if you just center around the bosses feeling good whilst keeping the player simple.

The third boss is a flying robo head that charges and dash to the player Its just phase 1 and Attack 1 for the boss
Make it so when you attack a boss it will start to go cracked pls if you can
this is a really cool game, though do you plan to make like a level editor/boss editor? (if that is even remotely possible)
I'd love to add something like that but it is really far outside the scope of the project and I'm not sure how it would work

Just don't finish it! abandon it when it's really close to being finished and you've just got that "one last feature" that will take "no time at all" so "why bother rushing?"! On an unrelated note, anyone know what "reoccurring personal anecdote" means
Awesome bosses fight you've outdone yourself man
You should ad a boss made out of a bunch of weird computer parts who has attacks involving interacting with buttons on the map that you can stand to change the attack or do something else. His final faze be a giant mech that is the stage meaning you walk on him and shoot weak spots (could be anything) that appear on him. This might be a bit complicated but if the mech platform thing was a cube you could walk on all sides of it flipping the stage?
i think a visual change that would be nice to the phase 3 spin attack would be adding little wind lines in each frame of the spin

You should make if you wait for two hours for the triangle it will get a bonus phase
Maybe for a new boss if you’re gonna make one you could make it so you briefly have to shoot a cannon that shoots a bigger bullet that damages the boss.

hey, this is a pretty good video, and its cool to see you make clean art with such limited tools. If you want better art programs I'd highly recommend Aseprite as basically the definitive pixel art software (or libresprite as a free alternative if you cant shell out the $20 for aseprite)
I tried manually compiling aseprite but it was a pain and i couldnt get it to work so I got libresprite but itll take some time to learn maybe I'll switch over eventually hahah
@@okay_cam I highly recommend you do, it has so many useful tools and conveniences :] (and libresprite is basically a recreation of aseprite, so the skills should transfer if you do ever get aseprite)

Would be a funny detail if beating a boss no hit added like a little relic to a pause screen or the level select like beating the pyramid no hit shows the little pyramid stuck in a display case like in a museum looking around terrified
little no-hit relics sound like a nice idea!
You should really make a custom editor with preset patterns and the option to make custom bullet paterns and bullets
