Murmuration // Ambient Moog Matriarch and Vermona Mono Lancet 15 Duet
Просмотров 9621 день назад
Good evening! I just spent a lovely morning/afternoon arranging this song, and creating a video of mixed gear footage and bird murmurations. Here I have the Matriarch playing the initial melody and Mono Lancet playing bass. All sequenced on the Deluge. Additional synths and drums are directly from the Deluge synth engine as well. I really like how this one turned out, although I would mix it a ...
Attic Dreamin' - Moog Matriarch//Ambient piece
Просмотров 3562 месяца назад
Hey everyone! I posted this one on Instagram the other day, but I'm just now getting a chance to upload it here. Been going through a lot, but I'm all set up in the new studio. I finally have one of those cool converted attic spaces, so I'm pretty ecstatic about that. So, I'm trying to get back in the swing of creating music regularly. Here, I'm messing with a melody taking advantage of the Mat...

Hey everyone! Hope you all have been well. I haven't really updated you guys on anything lately regarding albums and studio equipment, so figured I may make this a yearly thing where I make a video like this. Also, THANK YOU FOR 300 SUBSCRIBERS! In the video I talk about a few things that I want to provide links to below. - Mystery Circles (my home label) - mysterycircles.com - Perceptual Tapes...

Monday morning exploration // Ambient w/Moog Matriarch, Vermona Mono Lancet & Synthstrom Deluge

I just moved all my gear around and started testing out different camera angles. I like this one because it allows me to face the camera and now there is a nice backdrop for images projected on the wall for night time videos. Here I'm controlling the Matrirach and Mono Lancet with the Deluge playing notes with some probability and unconventional sequencing. I really liked this patch on the Matr...
Crash But Try Again // Moog Matriarch Arpeggio
Просмотров 878Год назад
I'm slowly starting to get back in the studio after a ton of other things have taken priority lately. After I released my album I kind of had a long "creativity break/recharge." We also moved to a new house, so that meant 1 week of synths boxed-up and 3 weeks of just being dead-tired after the move, and not wanting to do anything. Haha Between that and work I just haven't had the motivation. Th...
Dew - Alternate version // Moog Matriarch & iPad Ambient
Просмотров 152Год назад
Hey everyone! Happy Sunday :) This is an alternate version of my song "Dew" from the upcoming album "Color of Sunshine." (yes I know it was supposed to be called Fading Bright, but I may or may not be saving that title for another album) The main differences between this song, and the one on the album are some alternate loops included throughout, and the inclusion of a drum sequence that would ...
Fading Bright // First Ambient Album Preview
Просмотров 201Год назад
Hey everyone! I have been working very hard the last few months on an ambient album. I'm pretty proud of the results, and would like to share a preview with you all! The album is 10 songs of summer themed ambient music that will hopefully calm your nerves and please your ears. The album was written primarily with loops built from the Moog Matriarch, field recordings from my Tascam DR-05, and ac...
Coffee & Soda // Day-off type beat
Просмотров 567Год назад
Hello everyone! I'm actually off work during the week for once, so I took a little time to have some fun! I haven't really made a beat in awhile and this one kind of came out naturally. Somebody needs to sing on this track! I feel like its needs some Gorillaz-like vocals over it. On this one I'm using Deluge for the sequencing duty, and it is also providing the drums and backing pad. Matriarch ...
Vermona Mono Lancet 15 demo // Sounding like a Perfourmer MKII
Просмотров 8 тыс.Год назад
I picked up a Vermona Mono Lancet 15 hoping that I could get it to sound like a Perfourmer MKII. For some reason all the demos of this thing that I watched sounded nothing like the Perfourmer, but I think I managed to squeeze that sound out of it. No reason why it shouldn't be able to since the Perfourmer is essentially four of these crammed together. I hope this helps someone out there decide ...
iPad Techno Jam with Moog Model 15 and AUM
Просмотров 507Год назад
Hey guys I just realized I never posted this video to RUclips for some reason. I wanted to try and write a techno song fully on the iPad using minimal apps. Here I'm using a couple of instances of Moog model 15 app running in AUM with midi controls routed to my old Akai MPK mini. The drums are coming from Ruismaker FM. Sidechain compression is provided by the free Roughrider 3 app! I hope you a...

Unknown // Moog Matriarch x Deluge x Dreadbox Typhon Minimal Ambient Hey everyone! I tried my hand at a minimal ambient style without percussion and with a lot of movement, and modulation in the sounds with a bit of randomness thrown in. I really like making and listening to this type of music and I want to continue down that road. I almost think I need to have two separate projects. One for am...

Matriarch x Deluge x Typhon // Torn Apart
Просмотров 4572 года назад
Moog Matriarch x Deluge // Torn Apart Hey guys! I'm pretty proud of this song, but I really wish the mix was better. I'm going to be spending some time trying to figure out a better way to mix and master. I found that when I have multiple synths going recording to one single track in AUM is no longer cutting it. Either way I still wanted to put this rough recording out there in the ether becaus...

Fairlight - Jamuary 1st // Dreadbox Typhon Synthstrom Deluge
I love it! I’m inspired to spend some time with my Norns soon :) How long have you had yours? Next time I visit, we might need to get together and make some weird sounds again!!
Thank you! Glad it inspired you. 😄 I've had it for probably 3 months now and I've been loving it so far. So many good scripts to explore. Yes we should definitely jam next time you are in town!
Well I’ll be damned 😊
Really Nice!
beautiful piece. beautiful sound. thank *YOU* 🙏
expression and softness next to each other
This is the acoustic guitar of analog monosynths...
Whats the sequencer?
It is being sequenced by the Synthstrom Deluge. Best sequencer of all time!
Wow… this is so gorgeous. It's what it means to get beautiful music out of an incredible machine. Not every guy who buys a moog is able to make this magic
Thank you so much, that really means a lot! ☺
What a beautiful ambient music… love moog. It was my first analog synth … I still miss it
This sounds great, thanks for sharing!
i used to have a perfourmer and it was dope, i regret daily that i ever sold it. congrats on the mystery circles stuff!
Dang! Sorry to hear you sold it. It would be super dope to have one, so I'm gonna keep staring at them longingly on Reverb and dreaming. 🤣 Thanks for the congrats man I really appreciate it!
Great update my dude, really love the album and look forward to more from you 🖤
Thanks man! I'm really glad to hear you loved the album 😄 I'm a huge fan of your album too dude, I'm so glad that I picked up a copy.
@@memorysound No problem! Thank you also for the support, take good care
how do you think this measures up to a Minitaur for bass sounds?... theyre around the same price, and i KNOW the Minitaur is way thick.
Unfortunately I don't have any experience with the Minitaur other than listening to some sweet RUclips demos of it. But, I am confident in the abilities of the Lancet to melt someones face with bass. 🤣 I love both Vermona and Moog, but there is something special about Vermona's glide setting, and their filter has always sounded comparable to Moog in my opinion. I think the Lancet is very versatile in that it can sound very chilled out, but also extremely aggressive and buzzy if you want it to. It also has the second oscillator that can add some nice harmonics or noise. Not sure if the Minitaur has that. I'll have to watch some more Minitaur demos and report back!
I had a Mini and now have a Lancet. The Mini has sync and most importantly, imo, an option to reset the osc phase with every key press. Very useful for basses. It also sounds bigger and subbier, which seems good in isolation but may cause additional headaches during mixing. The Mini is more versatile for basses, but the Vermona sounds way prettier I think, especially the filter. Moog's resonance is ugly and I don't mean just the bass / volume loss at higher levels.
The Lancet sounds great but your totally overdosed bad reverb destroyed everything.
While I agree that my use of reverb was a bit heavy-handed, especially since this is a demo of the Lancet's raw abilities, I think "destroyed everything" is a bit dramatic of a statement. 😂 I do appreciate a good constructive criticism but your approach was a bit rude, sir. Good day.
@@memorysound I`m agree! And I apologize for my rough comment.
It's not possible to have to much reverb on a synth. Add more please :)
What a beautiful performance!
hey great music as always, was gonna ask if you were the same one who did "Color of Sunshine" album but it's right there on your linktree, thanks for all!
Thank you so much! I'm glad you recognized the sound and knew of my album! Thanks for listening 😀
@@memorysound thank you for your music, it's a pleasure to listen to :D
Beautiful! You know what you are doing, man!
Thank you!! 😀 I really appreciate the kind words.

Happy New Year sir! Loving the vibe!!
Thanks man! Happy New Year to you as well! I'm glad you enjoyed the vibe 😄 Hope you have been well we gotta catch up soon!
cool tones, cool vibe.
Happy New Year Dude, this is rad track, look forward to hearing/seeing more in this format 🖤
Thank you, I appreciate the kind words! 😃 🙏 Will definitely be making more videos like this one. Funny enough, one of those cassettes on the desk in front of the Matriarch is your album! I really enjoyed it man! Looking forward to more music from you as well 😄
@@memorysound Look forward to seeing more. No way, rad! Thanks for picking up my tape! More music certainly on the way this year from me :)
Peaceful
Thank you! 😃

what is the genre called like?
If I had define the genre for this I would say electronica as kind of a generic catch-all genre for synth music. But to be more specific electronic/synth music/synth arpeggios
Lovely!
Very cool, love the Matriarch tone here!
great sequence!
Noice!
Thank you! 😀
I liked this one a lot
Thanks dude! ☺️
some awesome sounds and ideas ............................
Thank you very much! 😄
Lovely sequence!!!
Thank you!! 😀
Really lances my boils
super deep and rounded sound!
Thank you! Really appreciate it 😀
beautiful track and visuals... super nostalgic music!
wait so if if I record 4 tracks of the lancet over one other, I can get the perfourmer sound, saving space and 1000€? I'm in
Yup! I would say the sound is the same. And now you have given me an idea for a video/song! hah The main difference that everyone mentions is that the 4 synths on the Perfourmer MKII have a unique way of playing off of each other that would be hard to mimic with just one Mono Lancet.
@@memorysound but you can't hear how the "chord" will sound before you record it or tweak it while it plays chords, it's great but not really a substitute. I would love to have a perfoumer for the sound but the size and no digital control put me off.
Awesome sounds - very awesome track!!
Thank you!! :D
Hey, Great Job! I really like how the sound evolves. Sound super spacey & cosmic. I have a question if you have a moment. I also own a Moog Matriarch, and I've been looking into the Deluge. Deluge vs. Squarp Pyramid and Elektron Octatrack specifically How are you finding the sequencing and sampling capabilities of the Deluge? What attracts me to it is the sequencing, polyphony, and sampling capabilities. Could you kindly let me know how you specifically use it and why you like it in your setup?
Hey! Thank you for listening! I'm glad you enjoyed it. This is one of my favorite songs I've written. I cannot speak on the Squarp Pyramid ot Octatrack only because I have never used them before. But as far as I know, the Deluge is the best sequencer/sampler out there. I did a ton of research for the perfect groovebox, and Deluge is what I landed on. It pairs extremely well with any synth, and I have never hit any limitations. If I want the Deluge to do something, there is probably a way to do it. It's also very intuitive in how it works. It almost becomes second nature using it once you get the hang of it. The Deluge also has a pretty solid synth engine built in, so you can write entire songs while sitting on the couch with the Deluge! So if sequencing and sampling is your ultimate goal, then I say with 100% certainty that you should give it a try! And hey if you don't like it, the resell value is great. Lol
@@memorysound Sweet! Thank you for the detailed reply, I really appreciate it. I'm in my research phase right now and your feedback helps a ton. The sequencer and live sampling/resampling function is what I'm really after, plus a ton of LEDs... kidding, but seriously it looks amazing, hah! I also like the fact that it seems like I could pick it up and figure some of it out, so I can start bringing ideas together quickly instead of it feeling like a task. Definitely learning more towards a Deluge instead of an Octatrack or the pyramid. Thanks again!
Really nice piece. Most of my stuff is iOS but I do have a deluge (neglected due to house moves). Cheers. Lee
Thank you! I really love iOS synths and have been using them a lot lately. Im also very drawn to a ton of the effects apps on iOS. I'm planning on doing a full album using only iOS at some point. My Deluge has been a bit neglected lately as well, but is always still used in some way or another in most peices. Lately mostly only for midi though. Having a local synth meetup soon, and it will get some love then! Lol
Bwar, when that gets going..makes me miss my deluge
I'm glad you enjoyed it! I love the Deluge to death. I think because if it wasn't for the Deluge, I would never have gotten back into writing music. Love how intuitive it is, Like second nature at this point. I remember your Deluge videos! You should totally get another one!
@memorysound That's great news, its awesome how inspirational certain gear can be for us. I do really miss mine, I may well get another down the line 👌
Wow this is stunning dude, thanks for bringing your channel to my attention, take good care, Sam
Hey Sam, thank you so much! I'm a big fan of your work, so that means a lot!
