Revisited: Breakin’ broom scene with Michael “Turbo” Boogaloo Shrimp Chambers!
Many people have visited 4323 Melrose Avenue in the past to see where Turbo did his iconic Broom Sequence. Michael has done some interviews in that exact spot (which is now a tattoo parlor). But Michael was blown away when for one night only, we turned back the clock and redressed the tattoo parlor to look just like it did in Breakin’! The air that night (May 2018) was electric. It was magical. Michael had recently had surgery on his knee and foot, so he was limited in what he could do that night, but through sheer will power, he was able to work through the pain to make this happen. Turbo tought me how to Break Dance back in the 80's and all my friends thought I was cool ..
He was my boifrien in my head when I was 8…dope to see him still doin what he inspired the world to do still till this day pop lock, break dance & the 1st to ever moonwalk.🎉❤Turbo

So much thanks you brohters brekadancers! After 1984 and dance 90s I am dancing again electric bugie with electro freestyle music for myself for now and sometime in night disco clubs and even on the street litle by litle. It was my favorite scene and all of my generation in Belgrade City the capitol of former Yugoslavia in south Europe when We seen Turbo in cinema. We was sad because in that time was not many video recorders and players so we cant watch this scene and movie again but after couple years in our Contry come first video recorders and We kids watch together movies on video casete.

OMG... so glad I've found this... he was my absolute IDOL !! Him and ( Adolfo) were such magical dancers and they both had such a wonderful vibe !! Great to see him being out there and still rocking it, like 40 yers didn't pass by !! Amazing guy !!!

With all due respect.... He shouldn't have remade this classic dance scene. He just doesn't have it anymore. His moves aren't fluent like they were "40 years ago". He moves too stiff.....
Okay I’ll just say it: turbo was my hero but he’s put on weight and does not practice like he should and holds on to this song. Bro get back in shape practice like you know how and kill it like we all know you can because this is disappointing

Had to come back and watch this again. Had to mention that Kraftwerk Tour De France was banging back in the day and perfect for Turbo’s routine. The Olympics also got my emotions going because I don’t see any acknowledgement of the pioneers like Turbo, Ozone, Popoin Taco, Crazy Legs etc etc in any of the backstories. We know who the real pioneers are 🙏
