Pick review # 30 - dunlop Js rock III
Просмотров 873 месяца назад
This pick is basically a well worn out jazz III. It's made out by the same material but this newer model has some speed bevels at the tip like the flow ones or the Petrucci premium. Sound wise they sound very similar but the feel it's a bit different, effectively it seems that you've been playing with this pick a lot maybe a standard jazz III will get closer after hours of playing but it will a...

Great playing
@@ArchieMackintoosh thank you :)
⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
Which one are you using now? I'm between the Stiffo, the Pitchblack Tortex 1.14, and the Ultex. In terms of feel, I think the Ultex --> Stiffo --> Tortex but in terms of sound, I feel the exact opposite ranking occurs and its really throwing me for a loop which one to commit to!
If i had to pick one i will choose the ultex xl.. also the kirk hammet ones are cool
@@87RedSpecial thanks for sharing. Is that from a tone perspective, or playability, or both?
Both and also durability
@@87RedSpecial got it. Thanks again for the great comparison
👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼
Finally found a video that tests all three sizes. Thanks!
Thank you very much, bro! ❤
And is Rock 3 thicker than 1.38 mm?
Nope is the same
@@87RedSpecial Thanks man! 🙏👍
Hi there! Which one do you feel better in the picking hand?
This one.. cause it has the letters a little more raised up
Question: what effect pedal are you using ? Thank you
Boss katana go..
Are you able to record from your phone while using a backing track or is it a separate device
@@fitnesslibrarian9013 i send the backing track via Bluetooth from another device and the other phone is connected via usb to the guitar with the camera open
By the way there's an app called open camera that let you split the screen so you can take the video while sending music with the same device, but i prefer the other method
Play Like Gary More
Wow thank you he's one of my main inspiration
tanta tanta roba 🔥😍
Grazie mille :)
Ottimo questo
Una delle migliori finora su youtube
Grazie mille, in realtà avrei dovuto cambiare qualche diteggiatura
THANK YOU Angelo Neri! Best demo cause you showed the low gain...just ordered one fo 60 €s here in Finland, I hope I get a bluesy/fusion jazz tone out of it with my other pedals and a strat...
Good stuff man 👍😊 👏
Thank you ❤️
dope rendition
What you mean by that?
Steven Wilson is that you?
Ahahha i didn't know who he was until now but effectively there are some similarities
I like it.
Thanks 👍
bravo! grande canzone!
Grazie mille 😙

just what I was looking for. great video Man! 😊👍👍👍
Size are same or not
Yes size it's the same the thickness is different
With the standard pick you can definitely hear the “flappy” sound of the pick but the Sharp point was more defined and clearer I thought.
Yes maybe for my taste it's a bit too sharp, you have to be really precise with your picking hand
@@87RedSpecial I am personally using Dunlop Big Stubby picks because it gives me the best of both worlds. It gives me the size that is comfortable to strum and has a point good for fast alternate picking and the pointy tip gives me more definition in my notes. If you haven't tried them yet I definitely recommend them!
@@87RedSpecial another pick to try is Dunlop TIII picks. They are standard Tortex picks with a point that's not so sharp.
@@rickschneider3887 you should try the flow polish also by dunlop.. it's very similar to the stubbies but with a slicker design
@rickschneider3887 for those I've different opinion... Cause normally i use the standard ones but when they got used i usually sharp them with a carpet and they become basically tIII
You can definitely hear more low end “ thud” and pick “chirping” the thicker the picks get regardless of the tapered bevel of the pick edge. Overall I personally liked the tone of the thinnest one of these picks. It had a lot of clarity minus the extra percussive pick noise the thicker ones had. Nice job on the comparison samples!
Thank you check my other pick comparison.. soon i will start a new series of videos about that
C'est le sommet d'une passion je pense et un résultat professionnel hautement de tout
I really enjoyed your guitar sound at Friday morning! yes, its' everything is ok! but why you stop your youtube? I expect your new video! I support you! comeback plz!
Yes it's been a while since i stop, basically in this last period I've used more social like Instagram and Facebook, but now i will post some new stuff
This Guitar tone is so nice! and your play is so clean. I like it!
Thank you 😊
Sounds great ! Great playing.
Thanks 👍
Fantastico
Complimenti
Grazie mille
I use the middle one for heavy stuff and solos and it blow my mind away........it is super good for Rhythm.....Riffs......Solos......fast and speed picking
The XL's are distasteful hipster garbage. Real Jazz iii or nothing.
It's a matter of preference.. I think they did this based on forums request
Red sounds amazing, Ultex was awful.
Since then I collected more models.. one of the best alternatives is the Planet waves nylon pro which is made of nylon and glass fiber
Is the Kirk Hammett pick Same material as the red one or the black one ?
More like the Red one.. the back is also made of nylon but a little bit stiffer than the red one
Green = red Jazz sound Purple = Black Jazz III??? I mean feeling and sound
These are easily my favourite picks for playing any stringed instruments. I got sick of people stealing my thinner pics when I was younger. So I taught myself how to use these. And now they no longer get pinched lol. 3mm is my favourite for guitar. You can play so fast with these
Try the flow polish, they're very similar but in ultex material which last longer
So good ! Thanks for sharing !
Thanks
are these thinner than the standard jazz III? I play the standard jazz III but would love it if they made them a little thinner
Same thickness just a little bit wider
muito bom! obrigado!
Ottimo Angelo! La chitarra poi ha un suono strepitoso, 😊
Is there a difference between the original and that
Yes.. the original it's polished the eric Johnson one has a matte finish and it's a tiny bit bigger on the shoulders
Optimal!! I don't know the song but I like it. Beautiful guitar sound. It seems to me modified, and you used some great effects. I have been away from youtube for a few years, but on August 15th I wanted to allow a Strato Highway to play on my channel. Take a tour to see. Hello. 😊 (I liked it) 😉
Hi there! Are these the same size like a Jazz III xl ?
Nope, a bit smaller
Amazing, well done my friend ! 👍👍👍👍👍💯
