Location: McBean Parkway east of Valencia Boulevard.
Los Angeles County Fire Department, AMR and sheriff’s deputies responded to a solo traffic collision in front of Valencia Mall.
One adult male was pronounced deceased and a female was transported in unknown condition to the hospital.
Sheriff’s deputies were interviewing several potential witnesses and started blocking off the intersection.
The cause of the collision is unknown. It is not known at this time if drugs or alcohol was a factor in the crash.

LACoFD arrived at the location where a sedan was reported fully engulfed with flame showing from the engine compartment. LASD assisted by blocking the road and CHP is investigating the cause of the fire. There were no injuries and no spread to the brush in the area.
