oui tout a fait ! ce bruit m’inquiéter mais pas de problème a l'usage bien au contraire . D'ailleurs le bruit a quasiment disparue depuis , elle était neuve , surement un rodage a faire .

@@fredgarenne J'hésite entre l'EQ8 et la CEM120, mais le concept de contrepoids excentré est pas mal..

@@TheGillesastro62 avant celle ci j'ais eu aussi l'eq8 ainsi qu'une gemini G53f ! la cem120 ce rapproche plus de la G53f que l'eq8 ! elle et beaucoup plus précise et son guidage et doux ! sur l'eq8 j'avais un jeux apparemment récurrent sur ce modèle en DEC qui la rendais pénible a l'usage , surtout en guidage .

Should have bought the Explorer Scientific One! I know it is the same Goto Mount but theirs is updated and corrected!

Are you talking about the Exos-2 Goto PMC 8 It's the same version of Exos-2 however, they've solved RS-232 and ASCOM issues about the Original Exos-2 Unfortunately, i've bought the Original Bresser Exos-2 Goto. Even though it seems a solid and sturdy mount, once i started using the handbox, i found some surprises (pros & cons): 1.- RS-232 port is not working. 2.- With a propper align, you are able to track no less than 5 minutes. 3.- Spelling troubles for some cities 4.- Some cities (Lima Perú and Santiago-Chile, the're located in south america) have wrong timezone Values !!! You know this only issue wrecks whole aligning process. 5.- It's advisable entering manual values. 6.- Despite those problems, they still selling this mount !!! I contacted with Bresser Europe customer service, they sent my concerns to the technical department. They answered me that they're working on a new firmware upgrade, which will released soon. I hope so.

Curtis: Just one question: Have you set "daylight saving time?", probably you have to set up this issue before finishing align processs.

I am talking about the first one! (Exos-2 Goto) Explore Scientific bought out Bresser but they are switching over and everything is being fixed and corrected. However mounting a XT8 like this guy did is too much for this mount! That is a 46 inch OTA and 22 pounds so yeah if someone is putting that much weight and unbalanced OTA on it; will have massive tracking issue. There will be so much torque on those tiny motor driven gears that it will cause many problems. Unfortunately just because the mount can handle 29 pounds of weight means you can throw a 46 inch Dobsonian OTA on this. Lool If you put an 8 Inch on this, I would go with a SCT or RC at best for accurate tracking! Even a SkyWatcher 150/750 is ample. AstroSkyGuy69 yeah, I was taking about the first one from bresser. ES RMA'd it and sent me a replacement. First time out with it, it performed fine. Polar aligned, then 2 star alignment, first goto was almost in the center of a 17mm view. Tracked fine. Turns out the star data on the first I've was from 30 or so years ago. I've since bought the PMC-8 version. Only had the opportunity to use it once, but so far it's just fine. They've changed the motors to belt driven worm gears which seem great. It also seems the goto is a bit faster than the previous one. The control takes a little getting used to, but so far it's ok. It's not that big a deal to me as I'm connecting this one to a permanent pier and dedicated control PC to operate it.

Dione Saturn I'm having that very problem! As much as 3 hours of RA and 10 or more degrees of DEC off target using the goto. it's there any kind of contact number/email for bresser support?

Thanks for saying. I was about to order. But thought I'd check comments on the Web first. It seems too heavy for the mount.

obviously if you want to track you were going to have to buy a better mount, ive seen absolutely amazing images from this telescope it just takes a bit of customisation to get right
