My Asus VivoBook 16x M7600QE OLED laptop originally had Windows 11 installed. After switching to Arch Linux with the KDE environment, I encountered serious problems with Bluetooth operation. The headphone connection has become unstable, and the sound quality has deteriorated significantly. Similar failures were observed when testing Fedora and Debian. Attempts at a solution: - Disabling fastboot mode in the BIOS did not give results - The complete removal of Windows 11 also did not fix the situation My assumptions: Perhaps Linux somehow affects the firmware of the Bluetooth module, which leads to problems even when returning to Windows. Interestingly, there were no such difficulties a year ago. As a result, I left only Arch Linux on the laptop, but the Bluetooth problem remains unresolved.

Even M3 has better single thread backed up by SPEC2017int-fp. Actually 16inch M3max almost matches a stock 14900K in 100% load multi thread loads, again SPEC2017. Geekbench6 is fairly accurate, Cinebench is dogshit. M4 vanilla is ahead of any 14900KS even those clocked close to 7ghz *ST

Can you try and use the iMacPro1,1 SMBIOS as it can utilize a wider frequency range than MacPro 7,1 and please enable the E-Cores and use the CPUTopologyRebuild.kext with the boot arg and then I get 3300 in single core (undervolted and slight overclock) and 20800 in Mutlicore

Bro, base m2 faster than 12900k. And 14900k is only %20 faster than base m2. Now scale this to m2 pro m2 max and m2 ultra. Then scale to m3 series. Finally, imagine m4 pro m4 max and m4 ultra. Intel scamming everyone in the world. Their only buyable chip will be released 2 years later. Because they just bought machines for 2nm process.

Everyone know that M4 is launch to compare in AI. And in win in this stupid benchmark for AI capability. In raw performance is very weak chip.

Given the little change in architecture, M4 is basically an M3 but with 38TOPS. Apple probably knew/saw that AMD, Intel and Snapdragon were implementing much faster NPUs of what they had so they slapped one in it. But M4 is obviously not as fast as a high-end desktop chip, it is only faster in AI since NPUs are only in mobile SKUs at this point in time.
