Great content! I have never seen this. I hope you keep it up.
Thank you. I will try my best bud
13:00 Now that was just a sad showing for a "Tier List" guy...
Lol. Don't be mean. Everyone has a bad day. It happens to the best of us.
Great job gathering the whole Shadow Orb! That is easily one of the strongest items in the game, can boost any hero to be really strong in direct combat. Pretty sure you cleared the map well, I don't think you missed anything (at least anything worthwhile) - Shadow Orb was THE item to get here.
But there is an area that looked like it had something in it, lol. I honestly was expecting to roam the map for hours because of a puzzle or something. :)
@@kage-rts To be fair though - it still took you a looong time lol. 1,5 hours with at least one sped up section - for a no build mission that's a long time. Though understandable here - Shadow Orb was more than worth the effort and time spent. Fun fact - in the last mission you can technically transfer that orb from one hero to another, and have that orb in some other campaign.
What now? I need more details lol
@@kage-rts well.. let us wait until second to last mission. If I describe everything now - it's gonna be a spoiler.
Oh, ok ok. Will wait then :P
1:10:13 "That" something is THE Best Boy of enemy faction - Naga Royal Guard. Not only is he an amazing melee unit, he also has an arsenal of really strong spells.
So... If I didn't have the staff of negation, I would have been screwed multiple times? O.o
@@kage-rts I mean - the only spell that Staff can counter from him is Water Elemental. His best spell is probably Crushing Wave, which does big damage in a line to all units/structures. Also has Ice Bolt for single target damage and stun to a unit - both of those damaging spells can't be countered with Staff. Staff of Negation is mostly used to counter buffs and debuffs in the area, it does nothing to stop direct damage spells.
Oh ok. But its still good to get rid of annoying ice armor
56:33 Here comes the best girl of Warcraft 3.
How so? Like lore wise or hero wise?
@@kage-rts more so lore-wise. Sea Witch is a decent fighting hero don't get me wrong, but I prefer both Priestess of the Moon (like Tyrande) and Warden (like Maiev), especially because of their ultimate skills. Some time ago you were saying how all the women heroes in Warcraft 3 are annoying, to which I said that probably Lady Vashj is the least annoying one. You shall see later on though.
Right right... We shall see...
47:21 I don't think I have ever seen someone be so happy about spotting a tree in a video game lol.
I got a little over excited didnt I? Lol
The mutation! 10/10 , the chat sending waves 2/10 I had fun, but I prefer when cheats help me or don't screw the map... Zurvan ain't cool
We should have cheated as well. That would show them hehe
24:20 nice Mothership Artanises in your Main.
You were lucky i didn't cheat :P
Nice games 😂
GG! Nice that you were able to overcome this mission. Fun fact - this mission was actually made a bit EASIER with Reforged, cause you have access to unique units here: Sentry and Ancient Cock. Sentry has one of the best buff spells in the game with Bloodlust, while Cock is an EXTREMELY strong frontline unit, having a ton of hp AND Chaos damage. If you recall Chaos damage is the best damage type in the game, because it it not countered by any armor type, which is especially good for bashing structures that have Fortified armor. I wish you had gotten at least 1-2 more of them.
It took a lot of sweat to actually get through this. I was thinking that sentry might be good, it says it attacks air as well, but it says it's melee, so I was a bit confused. I did notice that the cock or what's its face called has a tone of hp, not sure if it would have made that much difference since I couldn't properly micro everything. Also I do remember seeing somewhere that it does chaos damage, might be in the first attempt.
53:03 Great work finding those tomes! The Sentinel spell will be useful in future mission(s) to be able to find even more secrets. Keep a look out for any trees, especially near dark spots on the map.
What sentinel spell? The third spell that I didn't get yet?
@@kage-rts No I mean the Owl that attaches itself to trees, the ability that Huntresses have.
Oh right. I forgot its called sentinel
25:45 Mr Krabs NOOO!!
"The guilty will suffer!"
4:31 You guys hear that noise? Sounds like somebody needs to.. git gud xD
Easy for you to say, since you already know the missions. I have no idea what I'm supposed to do in specific missions, which is why I'll be losing much more in the near future :P
@@kage-rts Pretty sure I was able to beat that mission without too much trouble back in the day though.
Im getting too old for this :P
I know your Coop Team -> Pain so well . Nice game. Waiting for more.
Only amon felt pain here. :D
So... let me tell you how Illidan ended up in prison for ten thousand years. The night elf used to have a thing called the Well of Eternity, basically a big pool of arcane magic they used as power source, which is different from the Druid magic they're using now. The Highborne people, who serve Queen Azshara, study that kind of magic. Illidan was one of them. They're all addicted to that power. And then the Legion came and said: "We got more of that, just use the well to open a portal for us, we'll give u more." The queen accepted the deal and let them in. Now this didn't sit well with the rest of the night elf. Even Illidan decided to help his brother and the druid to stop the demon. But then they figured out that the only way was to destroy the Well and he did not like that. He was like "But muh powah" and betrayed them. After the well of Eternity was destroyed, the world was basically shattered in half, with a raging ocean in the middle, between Kalimdor and Lordaeron. The destruction basically wiped out the night elf civilization so now they're mostly tree huggers. After all of this They found out, Illidan, a magic junkie as he was, stole the water from the well to create a second one. basically, risk the same disaster again. So they lock him up. Then the druids just put up a huge tree there to protect the well so no one can access that power. A side bonus is the World Tree makes them immortal and can live for thousands of years. Don't let him fool you, Illidan is the kind of person who switch side at the smallest inconvenience. Also he simp for Tyrande but didn't get what he wants so he hate his brother
Ok. Well that explains a lot. I'm not sure where this lore takes place, but it's kind of hipocritic of the night elves, to expect him to help them after all of that. I do get it that he be simping for Tyrande. Love came make a guy do crazy things. But if they exiled him, shouldn't Maiev followed their direction? I was told that their not exactly under the same ruler, and that Maiev holds a grudge against Illidian, because of Tyrande. Honestly this feels like an indirect revenge, master minded by these women egos. I still feel for my bro lol. I completely understand Illidians motivations, and still condemn these women for acting out of their own whim.
They could have written the lore, that Illidian got corrupted by his new found powers, it would have made much more sense and attracted sympaty for Maiev.
See? Told ya end of the mission is easy IF you preserve your troops and let Maiev tank + dish out a lot of damage. On your first attempt your army got almost wiped out in the middle of the map heh.
Yeah, I honestly wasn't expecting the spanish inquisition at the end, requiring that much fire power lol
@@kage-rts The Naga faction is actually one of the strongest in the game. When you compare their units to the counterparts of other factions - Naga tend to be superior in every way. You basically have to outnumber/outmanouvre the Naga in order to win. You still haven't seen their "ultimate" unit lol. If Naga are so strong with basic units already, imagine how OP their "Frost Wyrm-tier unit" must be heh.
Oh no... Forshadowing... Lol
7:47 HUGE mistake lol.
Found out the hard way :)
6:07 Initially yes, it may seem as it doesn't make much sense that Night Elves are chasing him. Later on it will be made clear though that Sentinels and Maiev are not exactly "the same" as the Night Elves serving under Tyrande and Malfurion. Also - Maiev has the right to be pissed off because Tyrande murdered her watchers when she was releasing Illidan. She can't annihilate Tyrande since she is the main hoe of Malfurion, and he saved the world + is a de facto main and respected leader of Night Elves.
Even if they're not the same, I still root for Illidian. Boy got imprisoned, then exiled and now is hunted. Its all Tyrandes fault. I blame her for everything. Poor guy can't catch a break.
@@kage-rts yeah it's basically a trend at this point that female characters cause more harm than good in this game. Plus - are annoying.
Que pelmaso de aliado te tocó. A pesar de ello no te fue tan mal.
Estuvo bien, la verdad es que no sentí su presencia, pero lo hizo genial. Google traducido
May as well reduce the HUD scaling man
I'll try it out and see how it fairs. Thank you for the suggestion.
GG WP, very nicely done. I rememver when I first beat this mission I had similar chain of events, basically giving up each allied base every 15mins or so. Makes next 5 or so minutes very chill and resets their aggro fpr a bit. Now I can easily hold the line for the entire mission in the human base, using a huge concave of Protectors, Moon Wells and Hippogryphs. World Tree wasn't technically "destroyed", just badly damaged. Basically - world is gonna be ok, however Night Elves have lost their immortality because of that explosion. Also it's a bit of a fun in-game mechanic trivia with the way Archimonde got smoked. You see Wisps have an ability to Detonate, which drains mana and does heavy damage to summoned creatures. Technically speaking Archimonde is a "summoned creature", since - as you may recall - in the final Undead mission the Lich Kel'Thuzad was summoning him into the world of Azeroth. Kind of funny that in the end he was done in by a very niche game mechanic heh.
Really? You can hold out at the human base? How? I was building a lot of protectors, but they were getting annihilated. I just couldn't defend it. Maybe I should have had some wisps on repair? I was wondering why they slowed down a bit, after each base was defeated. This pause gives you, I guess enough time to build up again some defenses. I honestly was prepared to spend another 2 or so hours retrying this defensive mission. I kept forgetting about the wisp ability, never really had a chance of using it. I don't even know what the other unit was in that new building, ancient of wind, if I'm not mistaken, I didn't really have the time to figure out what it was.
@@kage-rts Speed + micro are the most important in this mission if you want to hold out at Jaina's base. MACRO: Basically you have to IMMEDIATELY get 2 expos for that triple gold income WHILE also sending Wisps to build a half-circle of Protectors WHILE also gathering all the freebie units on the map to use for early-game defense. You need to set up all rally points close to the frontline for Wisps once you have your eco set up, and keep reinforcing army all the time. Also - Moon Wells are great to sustain both army and heroes, especially the latter. Malfurion can only keep up so many healing ults. MICRO: You need to time your ults right. You need to see if an attack wave is "worth" using Starfall (Tyrande's Ult) on, since it has a lengthy 3min cooldown. Also - she needs to be placed in a good spot before using it - forward enough to hit most enemy units BUT also back enough so that she doesn't get focus fired or stunned out of her channeling. Malfurion's first ability that roots enemies is also great vs enemy heroes and casters. Another thing is focusing down high-risk enemy units - that is easily done with Hippogryph Riders. I always have at least one control group of them to snipe enemy heroes/casters/meat wagons.
Yeah, I'm sure if you played the campaign more then enough times you can learn all of this, but considering I still don't know anything about armor types, what unit does what. It's a bit too much for me. I just get every unit I can get my hands on :P Also I'm bad at micro here
58:20 Yeah I remember being so scared of Archimonde coming for my base first time beating this mission. Thankfully you had enough stuff in the way to delay him.
If you don't know it's coming it's more scary :D
@@kage-rts Technically speaking you CAN kill him, but he has a ton of HP and Divine armor type, meaning ALL non-chaos damage gets reduced by 95%. Also - he has a lot of very deadly abilities, like summoning 4 Infernals (those big flamey rock dudes) or a lightning bolt dealing 500 or so damage to a unit. Fun fact though - there IS a unit you can get here that does Chaos damage. One of the Furbolgs you can recruit does Chaos damage, I think the Champion. One of the Archimonde-killing strats is to just amass those teddy-bears and swarm him, while a circle of towers + heroes deal with his summons.
That is interesting, I didn't really delve into all of the units that you can buy from the shop, it was too much to read for my first 2 attempts.
26:37 "So these guys have a guy on them" when talking about Female Archers and Hippogryphs lol.
I mean it's a guy that has another guy on top... :P Nothing about gender here :D
@@kage-rts phrasing.
Man players like Pytopia are absolutely disgusting.. left shortly after the start, I presume because he got a lvl2 ally. Shame.
I was presuming the same thing, it's a bit sad when people are not confident enough.
protoss i go for the pylons with the strikes
There is just one flaw with this mate, i was dead tired at the moment of recording, which you hear for yourself at the first minute of the game :P Anyways, when there are artosis pylons i tend to do that as well or at least try to :)
New map? I didnt play this gamemode for like 1 month and didnt read the new updates
No bud, this is actually the first map introduces to coop. And if I'm not mistaken the last update to coop was 4 years ago, unfortunately.
@kage-rts a, ok thx
When p3 Abathur?
What is an abathur?
@@kage-rts "Abathur is a unique zerg creature, created from numerous zerg species. He is the zerg evolution master, serving as the Swarm's DNA library, and resides in the evolution pit." ;)
Librarian?
@@kage-rts Yes
Vorazun is very slow, out of gas, slow upgrade, slow build units, weak shield, weak on anti air, it's really bored and imbalance with other hero, spam too much gate wate, star gate is expensive
Yes, she's slow, which is why she prefers longer maps. On short maps she's gonna hurt. Timestop and black hole is her saving grace. With p3 atleast you can focus on other army while you spam shadow guards and once timestop is on just call them down. At release of coop she was very strong, i don't think anyone got nerf harder than she did, and compared to other commanders her other options are really weak, and require high skill to play. Oracles die in amove and as you said in general her anti air is weak. She's the reason we have rocks on gas gysers.
This is one of my favorite missions of this campaign. No pressure macro mission, most of the tech unlocked, Illidan/Devil Hunter hero, facing unique enemy faction (Satyrs + Demons). Also - bears are really strong. Once you unlock their Bear Form they become basically the best melee fighters in the game. Orc Taurens are slightly stronger, but bears can buff and heal each other which more than makes up the difference. I like to just mass Bears here since they are only weak to enemy air, and there is no air here. Also - you missed a really good item here right at the start. Behind your main in one of the spider sacks are Boots of Quel'thalas, which give +6 agility - extremely good for Illidan here since he is an agility-based hero.
And here i though i explored everything on the map. But im guessing i wont play him anymore, or at least in this campaign since he got outcast. As for the mission, it was certainly very chill compared to the other missions where a lot of pressure.
@@kage-rts Worry not - next mission pressures you from start to finish heh
Great... Just when i starting to get the hang of it... Honestly i don't like elf class.. their really tricky to play
@@kage-rts you will unlock 2 extra units in the next mission, where one of them is my favorite in the game.
new units is always nice :D i'll try to guess which one is, and i have a feeling it will be an air unit :D
47:24 "Ticontrol" hahah.
Word are hard :P
4:32 Friendly Fire KaGe strikes again... and Bears are soo expensive as well.
Hmmm... So early into the game... There is no fire without friendly hehe
Nice Units you had.
What units? XD
@@kage-rts exactly
51:10 The answer was right in front of you. You see - your army is ranged, bird-bois are melee. You can cloak, they can't detect. There is a small bridge between you and them. Any ideas yet? Solution: place a unit or two on the bridge, cloak and then safely kill them from range while your cloaked units bodyblock them.
The obvious isn't always obvious for me. Now that you toldxme about it, makes perfect sense lol
23:38 Yeeah.. you will learn soon enough that while Night Elf dude heroes are epic and awesome, their women are insufferable and annoying heh.
Their insufferable. Makese not want to play with her anymore
@@kage-rts worry not - Stormrage brothers more than make up for their female heroes.
Should i be worried? Hehe
20:25 NOO! Not the Furbolgs!
What can i say? Oops? XD
Nice, you found the Panda - that necklace is one of the best items in the game. Spells are very powerful in this game, having immunity to all negative effects for a hero is HUGE.
Hopefully it will be a big make or break, because i need all the help i can get.
@@kage-rts it will be a huge help for final mission, especially once you unlock Malfurion's lvl6 skill.
Well i can't wait to see what it does
Great of you to get the bonuses, DESPITE the ally...
Bonus patrol is watching hehe
my first run on this mutation the opponent was ling hydra lurker :( I died.
Yeah, line up is very important as well. Depending even on what commander you went with. Usually zerg lineup tends to be the worst because of the amount of units they send. Lurkers tend to be the ones that get buffed.
I can basically see what you did, but could you please post the build order here, at least for the opening?
The build for this is really dynamic. But the most standard is as follows. drone till 14 supply 2xgas 13 drone 14 overlord, 6 drones in gas, spawning pool, 2xdrone 16 baneling nest 15 queen 16 ling speed, overlord from here depending what enemy comp, and what map. if easy rocks, make 2 eggs worth or lings, if not focus on tech instead. 20 baneling speed, overlord inject -> lair 24 expo hatch, overlord, drones and finally when you have enough gas scourge nest. just getting all ling, bane and scoure upgrades asap, then add 2 evos and make more drone, +1 and aberration upgrade first. honestly, depending on what i'm playing against i will either forget or delay scourge nest, but make sure you have fully saturated expo as well, because with injects and ling spaming, you won't have enough minerals most of the time. if you can't really inject, then add a couple of macro hatcheries. the thing is, as i said previously, this build can deviate a lot depending on what the enemy composition is and what mutators we have. for example here, i needed to get more lings out, because of this i make overlord at 13, then drone, then gas and spawning pool. this is so that i don't supply block myself early on. depending again, what mutators are at play, i can either make more for this specific build i think you can better understand when i did the my bots speedrun watch?v=g7N-4WMqtIw
I liked the addition of the aberations, too. Nice to have their damage reduction for you and your ally as well as their big body hp.
Yeah, aberrations are key in keeping your banes and lings alive when you you get hit by a really bad AOE attack. But then again, it's not like you don't have more lings and banes where they came from :)
Oh you this mission was hard? Just you wait for the final mission of this campaign. Yeah this mission is basically an advanced tutorial on "hey - you can move (most) of your base as a Night Elf". Pretty much 4 stages here: 1. Furry genocide - doing the first secondary while grabbing money from two gold mines. 2. Human genocide - destroying and taking their base, probably the hardest part of this mission. 3. Cleansing the Forest of unit-stealing Ghosts - I usually just slow-clear it with heroes + treants, so that they don't steal my units. 4. Satyr genocide - easiest part, since they are pretty weak and you have 5k gold mine there.
Well it is hard, if you don't know what you should be doing. :D After not playing WC for a couple of weeks, and then resuming from "memory" was actually way better, then me actually dropping in blindly in this mission. This whole nightelf mission just gives me terran vibes lol. And specifically the super nova mission.
@@kage-rts I guess the base concept of moving the base forward checks out, though there is nowhere near the same amount of time pressure here. The worst that happens by stalling here are just more Gargoyle attacks.
For some reason my last attempt didnt have that many attack waves. Maybe because i kept moving away
@@kage-rts yeah it seems that the closer you are to the undead base, the more likely for them to attack. So the second gold mine is probably the worst position.
12:30 Not just you heh. Thankfully you have unlocked Malfurion Stormrage - every R in his name stands for grape without the G. You will understand by the end of the campaign.
Is this gonna be something that I'll totally forget about, because I don't know the reference, lol? From the hint you gave me, I'm guessing Malfurion will be really good.
@@kage-rts oh yes he will be.
Yeah this mission is definitely one of the harder ones, at least if you want to actually destroy the Orc base. Nice to see you eventually figured out that good ol' runby is the way here. It probably is possible to destroy the Orc base on the highest difficulty, but it would require some EXTREMELY good macro and micro. Just running by is the best option - nothing to be gained by destroying it aside from satisfaction of a full-clear.
Yeah, I tried that in a run where its sped up and no comment. Because i was like. Dude i must focus no commenting. And i was sort of close.. but not really. My initial plan was to cloack and not aggro them, shot something clock. Rinse and repeat. But just running through it was the best option indeed.
That moment when a Snickers commertial almost cost you your army/game..
Lol. You're not you when you're hungry
Probably the most careful coop game I played since Malwareprops... great that we managed to pull through! Especially since just one bad Orbital Strike would end it.
I have no idea how, but we did manage to beat it :D

Short... Really short... But it had everything we needed to know! Thanks Kage!
My disappointment is immeasurable.. and my day is ruined.
You're disappointed that you didn't know the trick, right? :D
I 😂 I actually love this! Straight to the point!
Great job squaring up to S-tier P2 Tychus as F-tier P1 Zagara with equal kills!
Squaring lol. Barely managed to do a 40% haha
@@kage-rts at the end it says 50%/50%...
Ok then i don't remember the correct game. Gg for. me I guess? :D
