@@thecrystalcabinet I kind of like the almond but the clove feels to be the headachey note for me. I can struggle with clove in perfumes if it's an obvious note! There's quite a lot going on in Lilas so it's understandable that it's not going to work for everyone

I don’t think I can get Julianna’s in the UK but tbh, I don’t love this enough to pay for the pricier dupe houses or to get it shipped her, particularly if my husband doesn’t enjoy it. I figure it would make more sense to just order a larger decant from the place I got this one…. my collect is so large that I’d only need 5ml I imagine as I’d wear it very rarely!

I suspect that I go anosmic to jovan musk. I find skin musk oil to last longer but it’s more less vampy than Jovan!

@@skinscentsforfusspots I just got the cloen parfyme, I can't smell eny different between the original and the cloen, I have only had it fore 1 day so I don't know if the lasting power is the same, but it was werry cheap compared to the original one, so I don't minde jusing it a bit more if it don't last. 👍😀 Have you looked into Divain clone parfumes..? They have so much 😁 Big hugs from Denmark. 💝🌹🥰

It's a shame that so many reviewers in the West look down on Middle Eastern perfumes, I find that very annoying. Like they are being judgy by just trying some "dupes" they heard of..... Whereas many Middle Eastern perfumes houses are brilliant niche brands that are actually better than some designer ones from the West. 😅 What a shame! Really.

@SAMIRA0209 I can't talk on every reviewer, but I don't think I've ever heard Cassie look down or be negative about fragrances just because they're ME brands. The aroma chemicals seem to be the problem; it's not an East versus West thing.

@@kathywitter6076 the aroma chemicals of the cheaper ME dupes can be the problem, I'm not denying that. But my point was don't dismiss all ME brands thinking all of them are dupes, coz they aren't. Just like not all Western brands are designers or they don't make cheapy synthetic perfumes, coz they do! My statement was that most, I didn't say all, reviewers from the west just assume that ME brands are cheapy dupes. Lattafa and Afnan seem to have ruined the ME brand market name because they do make mostly dupes. But so does ZARA and I don't see these receivers shying away from trying their perfumes. How many western reviewers have researched or even tried houses like Hind Al Oud or Gissah or Ibrahim Al Qurashi and so many others I can name, who do amazing, long lasting (8-10 hours +) orignals!? So yes there is an overall bias I've noticed. And that is indeed a shame 😐

I think of Middle Eastern Brands in exactly the same way I do designer brands tbh. There aren’t many houses that work for me so if I try a few and they share the same aroma chemicals, I just won’t try more. I don’t like to be negative all the time or throw my money away so if a house does work for me I just avoid it. MFK use the same Aroma Chemicals as Lattafa and I don’t look down on either house…. I just don’t like them! I’ve not had the same problem so far with Paris Corner, but I’ve also not found anything I want a bottle of. my channel is not about snobbery at all, it’s about me and my fussy nose 😅

I know what you mean - I’ve gotta be in a certain mood and the weather has to be right to wear a more solinote Lilac, but I love the lilac / wisteria In Elizabeth Arden Mediterranean…. not headachey when it’s mixed with peach sorbet, plums and sea breeze! I’m not sure is bath and body works is in the uk…. I’ve not seen it but if it is I bet it’s prices are really inflated!

I’ve never even heard of elements edition! I hardly ever find anything good at TK maxx to be honest. they sometimes have Miller Harris for really good prices but it’s not normally very good discounts in the London branches and online is always more expensive!

@skinscentsforfusspots Here, TJ Max is really just overloaded with celebrity scents, with a few house brand, oddballs, thrown in sporadically. They also keep everything locked up now but if you ask the cashier to let you test something, they'll allow it. It was so much easier fragrance shopping pre-covid. I miss it! 🥹🩵

My favourite is Small Aromas but their website can be a bit glitchy on a phone or tablet! Perfume Muse is great too. I like that Scent Sample offer free postage for a £10 spend and have the lowest prices for decants, but they don't have as big a range as the others. @@Lunarangst thanks for the info - that would explain why these don't have the tar-like aroma chemical that all lataffas seem to have! I know Lataffa are the parent company of a few other brands but maybe not Paris Corner.... maybe I'll sample some more of their stuff in that case!

Yep they're separate. Paris corner has loads of sub brands like Emir and Pendora but they often bring out similar dupes to Lattafa and vice versa. Lattafa's sub brands are Maison Alhambra, Asdaaf, Lataffa Pride etc. I actually bought a Burberry Goddess dupe from Maison Alhambra this week called Athena. I like it but it may have the tar note in im not sure. x

I think the pebble bottle is the same perfume but in a special edition and more modern looking bottle (trying to attract the younger generation I imagine!). It's cheaper to get the regular bottle and who doesn't love the regular Chanel bottles?! You can defo wear L'Eau any time of year as it's essentially an aldehydic white musk, but it does seem to perform better in warmer weather :)
