Also, people there do not call it Transnistria. They find it offensive. The real name is the Pridnestrovian Moldavian Republic or the PMR for short.

Just to be clear, Moldavian language is the same as Romanian language, there are less than 0.5% differences in these. And at least 20% of the so called Transnistrian people have Romanian language as their native language, but at least 40% of them know it and cand read-write it, and probably 50% understand Romanian and can have a dialogue in it. But all of those know also Russian language and 25% know Ukrainian.

Poles do not want to hear Russian everywhere in their country. Often in smaller towns they say to each other how much they do not like them, but they will not say it directly.
