The only wrong he did, was lie to her. They threatened to kill him, and put Ellie under the knife without asking for a shot in the dark chance at a cure that isn't very likely. Not to mention how they'd distribute it. World has already fallen, there is no returning to how it once was. And seeing how the fireflies truly act and think, whos to say they wouldn't use an antidote/cure as leverage to get power or whatevrr they want. When Joel woke up in that hospital, he saw their true colors, and decided her life was worth more than whatever they were going to use it for. Any father who doesn't relate to Joel scares me

The thing is Joel actually did the right thing to extract the cure from Ellie brain surgery isn't actually needed because she's actually just infected with a type of corticepts that hates other corticepts and kills em thus they'd actually would only need to extract her plasma for a "cure".
@@rustic9395 I’m with him on that decision! I can’t say I would have done differently! What guarantees the “cure” will actually be effective? I’m just saying that he died in that moment because he started a war with that side of town and came to haunt to him in the second sequel.

Sooo you never played the old games... He hated them because they are the reason for all the shit he suffered. He is a bastard son of Zeus, Zeus knew for a prophesy that a kid of his with a scar on his eye would detrone him. reason why this one wanted his brother kidnapped (Ares and Athena kidnapped him) but it actaully was Kratos, tbing is Kratos had no scar at that point it happened during the kidnapping, Deimos Kratos younger brother was born with a birthmark/scar over his eye (that is why the tattoo btw). Also his mother then dissapeared so she would never tell Kratos the truth. He later finds her but she was cursed and turns into a monster he has to kill. And well the plot of the first one is revenge against Ares because he pulled strings so he would be blinded by rage and killed his first wife and daughter. So yeah it is not "he disliked them" He hated them with reason

Sorry for the late response brother, I haven't been keeping up with this channel for a while hence life happened. To answer your question, I used a software for the save called savewizard. It gives the ability to modify many things in the game.
