That is a really stupid idea. It takes one shift to see if a painter has no or little experience. Taking time out of production to do this "test" is a waste of time and money.

Just a reminder that materials isn’t just your paint. It’s liners, plastic, tape, roller sleeves etc. customers always forget that part. Multiple colors means multiple liners and sleeves.

House painters working for companies don’t make much money at all. Managers and Business owners are the ones getting all the money. I assume this person uses a wholesale painting strategy. Pay workers as low as you can, keep as much money as you can. The people who are actually doing the job are making $16/20 hour with rare exceptions (independently of the skill level) I would suggest everyone to learn another trade and skip house painting. There is nothing good in being a house painter.

I don’t know about reaching out to past clients. If somebody came and painted my house and then eight months later sent me an email “checking in” Unless I didn’t mention needing future work it would instantly make me not like them. I’ve worked in sales, I’ve worked in insurance, I know what this is. This is you trying to get more money out of me. At least that’s the way it makes me feel.

Every time I go to a place in New York. Restaurants, offices, houses , public spaces I look at the “painting jobs” and the quality is just HORRIBLE. I still have to see ONE painting job that does not look ugly. House painters should be replaced by Ai.

I have stumbled across your videos and I I have worked for over 20 years for a professional painting company and ended up with a amazing background working with what we call the higher ups in Columbus Ohio and mean I worked on a lot of really cool people homes but the company i was working with isn’t the same quality and there cutting corners so bad it’s gave the company a bad name after the long run it had but I work for my brother now and I want to start a business that gives the home a paint job they at least pay for but I work 7days a week still an I don’t have the money to stop an start getting job an paying workers I’m just making it but god I always wanted to have a paint business since I first started working..thank you for the video and god bless ya buddy
