1st time seeing Dragonball Revenge of King Piccolo OP, definitely stands out against the others if only for not having the same characters fighting over and over.

Db games have a lot of great openings they hardly ever miss. I think raging blast 1s intro is underrated even 2 had a great opening though I like the original music better before they changed it because of copyright. Kinda wish sparking zeros intro had some hype vocals too go along with it like alot of the others do but I still think it’s great

Budokai 2s OP will always be my favorite of the dragon ball games. The beat drop right after gotenks fuses and the goku vegeta fusion is peak musical score imo.

Yeah why the fuck would Seiryu save heihachi for no reason? And then why would he even be alive when the punch is what stopped his heart and killed him anyway? It would've been better if he really did fall in the lava and then crawl out of it like a badass cuz the actual explanation was lame as fuck and doesn't make any sense

Ive heard fan fictions with better ideas for fighting game stories.

Fighting games could never tell a perfect story to save their own franchise to where it eventually dies or it´s on life support.

I've actually enjoyed the story and story expansion in tekken 8. But I'm just kinda done with mk1 tbh. The stories have all been meh since mkx (mkx's gameplay, kharacter and stage designs though...chef's kiss). They've continued to get woke'er and woke'er with each entry as well. Plus, the Invasions mode just isn't fun imo. It's not a terrible concept but the "survive" stages are awful and way too difficult. Meanwhile, the other fights are way too easy. Even the gimmicks for each fight are just meh too. And then the rewards are just a bunch of ugly pallette swaps tbh.

One costs 50 bucks the other is absolutely free

I had high hopes of the Direction Tekken 8’s story was going but ever since Heihachi’s reveal in Evo all my hope was lost and this DLC released EVERYTHING JUST BECOMES WORST. As much problems I have with MK1 Khaos reigns it was still fun and entertaining, Tekken 8 went from so much potential to straight up GARBAGE. The battle between Kazuya and Jin was so hype and it’s some of my favourite fighting game story moments but damn everything just went to shit. At this point I couldn’t care less about Tekken story anymore

An advert advert vs a waist of time. The base storylines were awful too… the hype is gone so now you can see the shit story for what it is. Look back at MK story again and you’ll realise it’s pointless. Then look at Tekken 8’s storyline and you’ll realise it’s just a jin power trip with everyone glazing him. The morally good people just forgive him for war crimes like it’s nothing 😂. At least the new Tekken 8 advert is heihachi being cool. Lidia is not put over, she didn’t beat Reina and the rest of her fights were against NPC monks, then she gets beat up by heihachi. Established lidia, didn’t put her over.

I'm glad that I've watched these instead of buying these. I've never touched Mortal Kombat 1, but stuck with MK11 instead. As far as TEKKEN, I've been playing the TEKKEN 8 demo using Jin, but been playing Tekken Tag 2 and Tekken 6 using my #1 main 🐤🎷Bruce Irvin! I'm not getting ⛈️TEKKEN 8 until Bruce is announced.

Tekken 8 dlc never made any sense what so ever.

That's why I'm sticking with Street Fighter 6 and Guilty Gear Strive.

You made many great points in your video on why these dlc’s suck but at 9:36 you state your problem with the power scaling in MK1’s story. While I agree there’s something I want to point out, power scaling in Mortal Kombat doesn’t matter whatsoever and it honestly never has. Every character in Mortal Kombat can defeat each other for the sake of the plot. I’m pretty sure most fans have learned this ever since the MKX storyline. (Ex. Johnny Cage defeating Shinok, an elder god) MK11 has moments like this too where many characters are just jobbers despite the lore saying otherwise. (Ex. Geras and Kronika vs everybody because every mk11 character ending is canon) 😂
