how do you add a usb reader as a desktop access point for ease of adding cards or tags
Can you isolate doors from lockdown? Say youve got delayed egress to the interior that has an IP bridge on it and locl down a facility but dont want the inside locked?
My reader reboots every time it unlocks. then at times ASM will have to be reset.
What does RMR stand for?
I hate this update honestly. The Calendar view is awful compared to the old version.
Does this system allow a person to open a door with an app or is this reader still only using fobs or badges?
The integration with the locks is a bit drawn out and more complicated than it needs to be. It does not seem to be as intuitive as it should be.

Can’t wait to get a different badging system after this update. Have you seen how unusable it is on mobile? Used to be able to do everything in my phone. Now I can’t use it at all. Worst software update I’ve ever seen on any platform or system.
Can we get a progress bar or notification to signify that the compile has completed?
This video is very good and helpful. The changes and new UI however are awful. "Let's literally take all the features, move them around, hide a bunch behind a column of dots and just make our customers all rip their freaking hair out for NO REASON AT ALL"

This product is crap. Go with an IP controller-based product and use HID readers. These IP readers are junk and like they are made in somebody's garage. Not ONE installation goes without something going sideways. Latest instance of readers cratering when config is pushed to them....and vendor states that "a new person at factory soldered the wrong wire"!!!

i hate that you called a motion sensor a REX. It is not a REX, it is a friggin motion sensor, just like a push button is not a REX either.....I hate when people misquote that terminology...a REX is an input on the panel. It is a request to exit input....Please learn more about that. Thank you.

How do you prevent someone from removing the controller and applying power directly to the electronic door strike?
Great question! We have an optional Advanced Security Module (ASM) that installs between the Reader Controller and the Electric Strike that secures the wiring between those two devices. This ASM is installed on the secure side of the door and does not activate until receiving a secure signal from the Reader Controller. When a Reader Controller is tampered with it will go into an alarm state locking the door and cards will not work anymore. So even before they get it off the wall it will shut down and the ASM will keep the door secure. All data on the Reader Controller is encrypted using AES-256 technology.
