It's disgusting that they would portray Aileen's spirit in that way. In life and in spirit form, Aileen was nothing like how Lily played her. Have you ever seen any photos of Lily when she wasn't "playing Aileen"? She looks very evil and without a soul. It's frightening.

Obviously Aileen was a real life killer, but I think her character was partly based on the fictional Mallory from Natural Born Killers. Theres a scene in the movie where Mallory's dancing to Sweet Jane (the song Richard and Aileen dance to) and shes doing that weird flowy arm thing. She's also a hillbilly type who was abused by her father and literally the opening scene is her killing a dude who flirted too much. Aside from the character, the message of the scene was similar to NBK. They both kinda say the true monsters never die because the media keeps them alive. If you want everlasting fame, just become a pretty bad serial killer and the media will do the rest 🤷🏻‍♀️ NBK is my favorite movie, I highly recommend it and I'm kinda sad it doesn't look like anyone else noticed the similarities

I didn’t think I’d like Hotel because Jessica Lange was out of AHS, but honestly, Hotel is one of my favorite seasons. The cast did phenomenal performances. I like it more than Freak Show.
