Incredibly vivid !

This long-forgotten tenor sings very well and appears to have that distinctively "English" sound we associate with recordings made by later tenors, such as Albert Coates.

A most interesting recording and glimpse into 19th century performance. He appears to end the aria with a mixed-voice High C, rather than from the chest, which perhaps was the more usual 19th century practice.
