Interesting. My limited experience is that tickle vents are great when they don’t cause a draft. E.g. behind a curtain so that the ventilation is diffused or captured by the radiator. I’d tend to close them otherwise and consider other solutions.

My takeaway from all this is they we are going to pay for this through yet another standing charge. Considering the current great British rip off with standing charges, I’m not encouraged to accept any additional financial burden on me or my family. It’s a no from me.

Why aren't you able to simply plug your EV into the home battery to top it up as required? It seems you need a whole lot of additional gadgets to only be able to run a few sections of the home.

Very interesting. In parallel, you must improve insulation in homes and reduce hot water consumption - both will have a HUGE impact on power consumption
