Rhode Island Wind Ensemble

The Rhode Island Wind Ensemble (RIWE) is a modern wind band of fifty skilled volunteer musicians of all ages and from all walks of life.
We Believe:
• Live music expresses what words alone cannot.
• Live music creates and sustains a sense of community among people.
• Live music is a gift that all people deserve.
• Live music should entertain, inspire, and enlighten.
Our Mission:
• To provide audiences of diverse ages and cultural backgrounds access to live music of the highest quality.
• To faithfully present the best in traditional wind band repertoire alongside music of underrepresented and historically disenfranchised communities.
• To support the musical education of all students through partnerships with public school music educators.
• To exemplify the benefits and opportunities for life-long avocational music making.
