There is many ways to have Windows XP and MS-DOS on same partition and you may seeking the method on another channels on RUclips but the safe way to have two Operating Systems running without conflict is setting on two partition separately.

If you want to have Windows XP and MS-DOS on same Partition so you may have to setting this Partition to FAT because DOS usually to boot with FAT16 to FAT32

I have Upgraded Windows XP from Windows 98 on FAT32 partition and when the installing succeed Windows XP created the boot menu to have MS-DOS boot with "Another OS on this Computer" and Windows XP Professional or Windows XP Home Edition... You can find The Video of Upgrading BIOS for this Board on my Channel, I have successfully upgraded to the newest version with that on version 48 in June year 2011. You may have difficulty with supporting by Intel because this website doesn't have files for long previous products and you might look for another archive site. You can type "How to Update BIOS for Intel DH55PJ Mainboard 6/2011 ver48" on search box, I also have put the Video of Upgrading this BIOS at the end of Video and suggesting that with above Card text containing a website for downloading BIOS files of many version and drivers as well. I also had another question about this board. Do you know the maximum RAM capacity. Intel says 8GB "depending on the processor", but when I look at the processors for this board, they all say 16GB. How much RAM have you installed on your board?

The Development of Speed for RAM 3 at that time to RAM 4 and 5 to now, RAM 3 can reach the Bus of 1600 and with Mainboard Games and Server can be more than 2000 of Bus Speed. You have Intel says 8GB (4+4 for 2 slot) with maximum 1333 for BUS for INTEL DH55PJ that at the time by releasing your Board but RAM3 after that grown to more capacity than 4GB with faster Speed as well as Processors could gain at new level for same Mainboard. ChipSet H55 and so on some Mainboard with same ChipSet designed with RAM3 can be accepted RAM3 with high level base with the upgrading of BIOS too and you might reach to 16GB or more if you make the Updates of many elements like BIOS and Firmware, you could so regulate with forcing your Board running and accepting more RAM capacity by many softwares and with extension card... but Remember that all the extension out of the Design at Releasing time for your Board will not be of guaranty. I have found RAM3 with 16GB for each slot and can be reach 32GB with 2 slot, you can make your test with all capacity of RAM and if your Board accepts and running well so it will be very good and you can make the extension of another Mainboard.
