Hi, Julie - no, I don't mind the width on these bars. I'm not doing too much road riding, so having them wider isn't really a problem. I sure like this bike though! Good choice!

What was amazing about your trip on bike is that you caught so many motorists. The insane rush to try to get a few seconds ahead and to no avail. The few extra seconds with a heavy gas pedal only gets you red lights, police speeding tickets and worst case, an accident.

Sorry, Julie - long time to get back to you. No, I haven't cut anything off my handlebars - they don't bug me too much. I do see a lot of riders with narrow handlebars, though! I might try it out!

My average speed is around 25 - 27 kmph usually.

Hi, ifyouseakaimee - yes, I was riding that bike. It's a great design for commuting, and I love it. I had considered buying a road style bike, but after a test drive of both types, this one won, hands down.

The reflections moving across the building in the lower foreground is especially nice.

I just bought the same bike 2 days ago. I love it but found the handlebar to be a little too wide for the super busy bike path of Montreal. Many riders cut 1-2 inches off each end. Have you?

Neat, the first 1.5 minutes was pretty much the exact same ride I tried when I visited Calgary from Vancouver earlier this week. I rode in around noon on Tuesday, then rode back to the park 'n bike at Pearce Estates during the storm and saw that fallen tree over the pathway too. Very nice path although it was pretty busy around the downtown part

Nice video, I wish my commute to work took place on such a beautiful scenic route. I have to agree, those cycles paths look like so much fun - I think they would make for an excellent bike race, Tour de USA maybe? :) Check out my commute to work jordymac92 there're a few. the most recent ones are quite enjoyable/daring.

It's pathway all the way, normally - except for one tiny part, but the city is re-paving part of the pathway, so I have to ride on the sidewalk for a bit of it.

Nice video. Especially like the guy riding in front of you towars the end. His legs are going like the clappers because its sped up. So how long does this commute take you? , seems a fair old trip but nice as mostly on a seperate pathway.

Man these guys are good! And the dark team sure seemed to dominate! Love the slow mo on the goals.
