Gotta control the wrist on that armbar bro.
its 8 years later and i bet that girl is still a baddy
My coach is probably shown this move a half dozen times, but I've never been able to get it, after watching this video I was able to hit this move on a blue belt the same day
Reminds me of an old marcelo sweep
Bruh. I would stay in THAT guard
whats stopping a scissor sweep once youre on top of the leg?
The left knee isn't entirely blocked. He can use his left arm to post.
@@MrSmellySmell 1:42 - youre getting scissor swept with a quick grab of your outside( left) arm
@@joshboski try to keep them getting that arm. And if your weight is on their right leg it'll make it hard for them to scissor that right leg. I was practicing this on several people the last time I rolled and never got scissor swept. I think the awareness that I could be swept that way helped to prevent the sweep. I knew I had to keep my post on that side and weight on their leg. If I lose either I could transition back to top half
Nice technique. Was able to hit it on the grappling dummy here at home on my first try.
Great details super helpful
I’m going to try that tonight (even though I have a gi class on haha). I’ve never seen the elevation with both feet on one side or the two feet one on top of the other like I saw there. Usually people do it with a symmetrical butterfly guard and they kind of go back and a little to one side. Then they cross their feet over and land back in the saddle. Or, if it’s single leg x first then they put one leg on the mat (instead of under the other foot). At least that’s what I’ve seen. Im going to try this one out. Thanks 🙏
Beautiful technique
Slick
Great video, short and to the point.
Ummm, what are doing against an opponent that actually uses their arms? With her hands in that position and your weight shifted to that hand on the mat, it would take about .07534 seconds to sink a really nasty Kimura.
Just post on their hand
i cant
Nice skill thank you guys!
I did this to my coach and he was surprised haha
Haha that is awesome! Glad it worked for you
Dude you do great videos Big fan - thank upu
Hi, if she has her bottom leg deep enough and her Z-guard actually locked, how do you make enough space to bring your free leg in and over without compromising your base or getting swept? Thanks
Really clean instruction.
This is sick. An upper belt did this to me last night and had to learn!
fire
Thanks, great tips.
great information!! thanks for sharing!!
That is slick
Love these!
Well done, thank you 🦴🪝🦶
I like this pass. 👌
I realy like how you do your vidéo. Short, a lot of angle, lot of replay. Keep the good work!
Hermano una duda no crees que pueda haber una lesión si la persona va hacia atrás, que tal una rotación hacia enfrente para evitar ir hacia atrás de él
GEOFF!!
And they say nogi is not technical….
This is good
Very nice
A shame your channel isn't growing faster... keep up the good work
Thank you so much that means the world to me. I just need to be more consistent with it. The world will find it eventually (I hope) haha
Beautiful tight control. Thanks for sharing!
Thanks I really appreciate that
Good details, good video!
You're a Saint!
perfect
Someone give that guy a hand ....
She could simply roll across her left shoulder instead of trying to brace herself on her hands and it would counter this entire sequence.
The point is she is trying to not concede the sweep. If she rolled of course bottom player would switch from being focused on the back take to just coming up for the sweep. This video is giving an option of attack when opponent is posting to avoid giving up sweep
This needs more exposure
Nice!
Very nice, hip switch detail 🔥
When you start the spin can i grab his left knee with my left hand from the outside (outside of his kneecap) instead of the inside of his thigh as you show it? Is it a mistake?
Nice!
I like this technique a lot. If you were in a ruleset that didn't allow heel hooks (but allowed everything else) then what finish would you recommend instead?
You can go for toe holds and knee bars but mainly the goal is to get to the saddle so I can get the heel hook. If you can’t heel hook and you are able to get To the saddle my suggestion would be to hunt the knee bar
U could stand up in base and use it to finish on top (like ur finishing a single leg)
You can use the saddle to get to the Texas Cloverleaf and from there, atack straight anckle locks, toe holds, calf slicers, kneebars... The saddle rules
Perfect thank you for sharing
Oss
It's kinda hard to see when you're both wearing black
Great!!!
Somebody is gonna get it on the next roll. Thank you
