Kingfisher Chorale is a renowned chamber choir of around twenty five singers, based in Leicestershire, UK.
Our repertoire covers works from the mediaeval period to new commissions and world premiers. Our hallmark is an exquisite attention to detail, subtle nuance of expression, and a richness of tone which brings to life repertoire, spanning over five centuries - from Renaissance, through to contemporary 20th and 21st century. Both sacred and secular music shine in our inspiring and often surprising programming!
Whether you're a devotee of choral music, or you've never been to a choral concert before, we invite you to take a breath of fresh air and step beyond the ordinary with us. We perform around Leicestershire, and further afield by invitation.

THE PHILOSOPHY OF LOVE
Kingfisher Chorale's summer programme explores a wide range of beautiful music with a central theme of love in all its guises. Our programme covers music from the Renaissance period to the modern day in both classical and more popular forms.
Whitacre's A Boy and a Girl has luscious harmony that reflects the erotic nature of new love.
Finzi’s Haste on my Joys is an explosive and extrovert exultation to Joy, which was also the name of his wife.
Then there is the fun loving love which we enjoy in Teddy Bears’ Picnic and “O I do like to be beside the sea side”
Stacy Garrop’s Lullaby is a beautiful ode to contentment in the intimate partnership of love.
