For precision landing to work correctly, when the drone takes off it needs to reach an altitude of about 23 feet before you start moving it away. So basically, after automatic take off you need to raise the drone at 23 feet or higher, and then fly away. That's because the drone kind of takes a picture from above (with it's optical sensors) in order to be able to locate the exact spot it needs to land when it comes back. In your video it seems that you moved the drone away from the home point before reaching the 23 ft altitude, and that's why precision landing was not possible. Also precision landing requires that a) there are enough distinct features at the location you're taking off so that the drone can align itself with those, and b) those features remain (for the most part) unchanged. In your case, the landing pad should help, and most likely would be enough if you had took off as required for precision landing. However, even if you had reached an altitude of 23 ft before moving the drone away, precision landing would not have worked if there was only a field of green grass underneath the drone during take off (not enough features for the drone to align to) Hope this info helps!

Thank you, Joe. Interesting, but it adds weight to the gimbal making it very fragile on the smallest crash, due to extra weight.
