Hi John. Just coming across your videos over the last few days. I appreciate the commentary and in-depth review of the clubs. I'm thinking of getting a set of these myself. Just curious, in some of your videos you mentioned that you were wondering how they will perform once the weather improved. Any updates on how you feel about these irons after having them for a while? Thanks!
Hi Stuart, these clubs are very good. They are very forgiving and extremely easy to hit. I just don’t like the sound and feel of these (I typically play forged clubs so that’s why I say this). I don’t know what handicap you are but I can tell you, miss hits are no longer a problem. I’ve hit some off the toe and with my forged clubs I lose 20-30 yards, not the case with these. Only lost about 10 yards. Let me know if you haven’t any more questions, I’ll be happy to answer as best I can.
@@johnleone6613 Thanks for the reply, John! Very much appreciated. I'm a 7 handicap. I've been playing the ping i10 irons for the last 10 years or so. I've done well with them and was thinking about the i210s, but the more I looked into the G series, the more I think I would benefit from them. I really like what I see in terms of forgiveness and distance. Just making sure it's worth giving up the feel and spin. Do you notice any gapping issues? Some things I've seen mention that this happens when you use hot irons.
Hey Stuart No gapping issues but you will have to learn distances all over again. I am no longer playing them because I was just hitting them too high and I didn’t want to give up the feel of forged clubs...not just yet anyway. I will also tell you they won’t feel like any of the i line, but they will be a TON more forgiving. They are a very solid club that I would see helping to lower their handicap of every skill level. The pro here at my course always says, get the most forgiving clubs you can stand to look at. Take the help, it makes the game more enjoyable.
