    Hola, Leo .... I miss BA every day. So many times I stop and wish I were back. Soon enough. Maybe end of October, November for sure. But I would love to visit Cordoba, Mendoza, Posadas, Tucuman ... even just all the towns in the province of BA. Argentina has so much, so very much to offer and to see. Can't wait to get back. I really do miss it all.

      @user-fw2kp1qd7i hey how's it going. I feel the same way. People got lucky that this video cut off early because I would've probably gone on and on for about 30 mins expressing how much I miss BA. I never sugarcoat it, it's far from the best city in the world. But it holds a special place in my heart. This time I will travel over Argentina as I did a couple of years ago. My last year there I stayed put in Buenos Aires, which even for me, gets a little played out after 4-5 months. Atop my list is Mendoza and Córdoba, I need some nature in my life. Make sure to do the river rafting in San Luis, it's near Mendoza.

    The issues you mention in this video I have heard 1000 times in Milan, IT (where I am from) and London, UK (where I lived before moving to Miami). I guess you are looking for some fresh air but Argentina is definitely not a spot where a young person can go start from scratch and build a life, very unstable country, reason for which lots of them immigrate to Spain, the US or Italy

    • @EXPATditions
      @EXPATditions 2 дня назад

      @mattc9875 thank you for calling me a young person 😆 I'll take it! But yes you're correct. I met people from all over Europe living in Buenos Aires for the same reasons. It is fresh air but the city has something to it. I've only lived in USA so I can't talk about Europe, although I have high expectations for Europe. But after spending almost 3 years in Argentina my observation and evaluation is that people are more decent, and caring in Argentina. I also noticed that there's tons of laws in favor for the people. I can only speak about my experience. And having lived my most of my life in a major US city, I've always felt like a robot, and every law in favor of big corporations in the capitalist market.

    www.buymeacoffee.com/EXPATditions It is used to send me donations. It's not a real ☕️ 😂 ❤ The Consumer Price Index gauges the price changes in a basket of goods and services in a defined time period. In Argentina, the CPI in May 2024 was 276 percent higher than the one registered the same month of the previous year, with this figure being the largest monthly inflation rate since, at least, the beginning of 2018. The Argentinian inflation rate has been experiencing a steep increase from December 2020 onwards, when the decreasing trend witnessed since December 2019 came to an end. Long history of inflation in Latin America High inflation rates are nothing new in Latin America. In 2023, the region's inflation rate was 14.41 percent, while the global average was much lower at 6.78 percent. Nonetheless, the main drivers of this are Venezuela and Argentina, both being in the upper table of countries with the highest inflation rates in the world. During the last few years, Venezuela entered a period with five-digits inflation rates, having to issue a new currency and implementing new policies to control price increases. A history of hyperinflation During the last couple of years, inflation has been a constant among the main problems the Argentine society faces. The country returned to a three-digit inflation rate with former president Alberto Fernández, and the constant price increases took a toll on households across the board. Nevertheless, the problem is far from a recent one or the worst it's ever been, in 1989 and 1990, the inflation rate was over 2,000 percent, reaching for the status of hyperinflation. Commonly, hyperinflation is defined as price increases with over 50 percent per month

  • @EXPATditions
    @EXPATditions 7 дней назад

    I just posted a new video! Go take a look. Below is a comparison of Buenos Aires to Sao Pablo. In short, buenos aires is a better city to live, but sao paulo is better for work. Bsas is safer: brazil has more problems with violence in general. Bsas is prettier: it has a river, historic buildings, large avenues, more parks Bsas is poorer but has less poverty. Sp has more opportunities and higher income Sp has more diversity of ppl and food Sp is more polluted and crowded. Bsas has better and cheaper education Bsas is cheaper in general I find transportation easier in bsas although metro in sp is better. I enjoy more the food in bsas for the quality of things, for exemple as avarege, i eat better bread, cheese and ham there then i do in sp (although sp has many “gourmet” stores if you have the money). But, as said before, sp has a diversity that bsas lack, and you can find many good and affordadle brazilian, japanease, arabic restaurants... Argentina in general has many economical problems, like inflation, while specially sao paulo has a much stronger financial stability. My advise if i had to choose would be living in buenos aires while having my finances in sao paulo or in another foreign country.

    Thanks for the love. If you enjoyed make sure to sub! The Buenos Aires Central Business District is the main commercial centre of Buenos Aires, Argentina, though not an official city ward. While the barrios of Puerto Madero and Retiro house important business complexes and modern high-rise architecture, the area traditionally known as Microcentro (Spanish: Microcenter) is located within San Nicolás and Monserrat, roughly coinciding with the area around the historic center of the Plaza de Mayo. The Microcentro has a wide concentration of offices, service companies and banks, and a large circulation of pedestrians on working days. Another name given to this unofficial barrio is La City, which refers more precisely to an even smaller sector within the Microcentro, where almost all the banking headquarters of the country are concentrated.

    You are in charge. Argentina is not the only option. $ave up and visit, travel or move! The world is too big to stay in one place. If it helps you, have the peace of mind that you can always return. Try to learn a skill, and put effort into getting a remote job. You can do it, I believe in you. ❤

      You could visit the little brother of Argentina: Uruguay, a great country with amazing landscapes and beautiful people.
