Out of interest did you ever resolve the window issue? Did exactly the same on my 1 series coupe and replaced both motor and regulator and works for a while then forgets where it is.

218i cab owner here, mpg is poor I get 36mpg (UK) and I drive in comfort mode 90% of the time. Eco Pro i.m.o is dangerous for this engine size as it reduces the throttle response so you have to almost nail the accelerator pedal to the floor to get moving. Nearly came unstuck entering a roundabout in Eco Pro. Mine is late 2020 and has covered 16,000 miles. I've had the gearbox seal replaced as it was leaking oil , apparently "it's expected" due to wear and tear at 3 years and minimal miles? I'm not confident in the long term reliability, paid for BMW extended warranty so I'll likely keep it another year then get rid.

it's usually that you have to "squeeze" the engines more to get going on smaller/less powerful variants, hence why the downsizing at some point stopped getting the desired effects (less fuel consumption), especially on some models that might have downsized "too much" 😅. there's plenty of reports around with the 30i getting around 7L/100km (I think 40 uk mpg) with normal daily driving, which is pretty damn good for a modern 2L with 250hp... people actually claim even better figures than that but I'd take those with a grain of salt for the most part... they must live on some salt flats (pun intended) or whatever just coasting everywhere lol... I think I would be happy getting around 7.5L/100km (37.5 uk mpg) daily driving a 30i not thinking about fuel economy much... of course there's also the other side, which is that the "much" bigger engines will not get you those figures at all even if you try your hardest (basically any of the 3L/6cyl variants above the 30i), as there's 2 more cylinders to feed to begin with, so yeah, as efficient as they might be they won't manage 4cyl consumption figures...

I have a 2020 230i xdrive but the turn signals on the US versions just stay in position until you finish your turn and click back like normal cars.

Thinking of getting a 220i, and this hasn't put me off 😊 I've currently got a MINI Cooper auto with the same 1.5 (so I need to go up to the 220 😊), and I do find that the miles left in the tank figure goes down faster than the distance covered, but I haven't actually bothered working out its consumption. It has the same indicator mechanism as well, which I don't mind.

46 miles per gallon, damm good, mine average 19 mpg at most m240i

I am using the same bmw 218 petrol and i got with a good fuel consuption and it depends on the driving.. Its pretty good for me iam using it for 2yrs and it is 2016 model

Doing more frequent spark plug and oil changes kinda helps with decreasing the fuel consumption. I run a stage 1 and get about 8.6L per 100 km on average with 60% city traffic. I believe that the M240i would do even better with moderate cruising. Use gummi pflege for the door sills.

Bought a 218d Sport auto last year, I think some of the issue you call out have been resolved, not sure if they revised the spec but my indicator arms stay up and click back down after turning or I can use the quick flick option for 3 flashes. Also the fuel really is down to the type of driving, my normal commute and round town is pretty poor but motorway and constant speed brings it up to between 400-450 miles from a full tank. (edit, recent long run got me 520 miles on 1 full tank) The Bluetooth is pretty prompt on mine

My I drive connects Bluetooth straight away and it's 2015

The fuel consumption issue is more on how you drive it, I've heard from people that don't have a heavy foot it's pretty good!

It’s taking quite a bit of time to adjust to the flickers, being accustomed to the conventional flickers on the right side.

Leaves getting into the air/blower intakes is quite a common issue on a numbers of cars including my Merc and Abarth. In both cases results in poor ventilation /blower performance and in extreme cases a lot of extra blower noise.
