As you mentioned, it maybe a question of skin chemistry. My travel sprayer as well as my full bottle last the entire work day. But I do agree on the projection part. It’s not a loud projector, instead leaves a beautiful silage. That seems to be the case with all fragrances made in this style.

@@shorts_-_kingg I can only speak from my experience of the bottle I own, which is a 2023 September batch. The performance is good - it lasts for 8ish hours and projects for about 1.5-2 hours. The thing is, I get similar performance out of DHI, so it maybe a question of skin chemistry. I’d advise you to try a decant before buying a full bottle.

Maybe there's something wrong with that specific batch, one can't be sure without smelling it. but honey, civet, oak moss are what's prominent in this perfume to begin with. I can tell you the batch I have here has the civet more prominent when compared to the previous batch I had.

@@Juscoldd559 So there’s two versions of the OG; one is now called Dior Homme Original (this is just available in the EU) and the other Just Dior Homme. In my opinion, both are worth grabbing, although the Dior Homme (Also known as Dior Homme 2020), is a totally different scent compared to the Intense. It’s somewhat like Bleu De Chanel without the blue aspect. Very woody and clean. Perfect for everyday use.

@@Pro_96 that would be great. I mean I’m really interested in that scent but it seems to divide a lot. Some says it’s wonderful some say it smells like seaweed/fishy 😅 and as it is a really potent and strong scent, that would be a shame if it didn’t smell good.

@@nwa7769 It's actually quite nice. I prefer it to the original. It lacks that funk that Megamare has. However, the one wearing it can barely smell it while people around can easily pick it up.

@nwa7769 Nope, not in the slightest. You could make that argument for Megamare, though. That one has something of a oceanic funk & I can see how one can interpret it as a fish like smell.

I get what you’re saying, but the other variations of this watch just don’t do it for me personally. I was happy paying more to get this; also I’m happier now that I got this instead of the other colors considering this was discontinued & those are and always will be readily available. That said, different strokes for different blokes.

It is powdery indeed but not overtly powdery on my skin. This is where skin chemistry comes into play; what works for one wouldn’t necessarily work for the other. I’m glad that you got the option to return it

Having used it a few times now - It's on par with the previous bottle I had used, which was a 2021 or 2020 batch; that is to say moderate performance. It's got a soft projection for the first 1-1.5 hours, and it creates a scent bubble around you for 6.5 to 7 hours.

Nothing about the leather in this is anamalic; on the contrary, it's very smooth. It's simply there in the background and holds everything together. Overall, it is a very woody scent. Try it before buying it, if you can find it.

Great review buddy.. Very informative and intresting.. I love the original dior homme edt from 2005/2011 for nostalgic reasons and also it just smells fantastic... You should do more fragrance reviews you are a natural at doing them

If you like it, try out Valentino Uomo (the original one) if you haven't already. It's composed by Olivier Polge, the man behind DH as well; and it gets surprisingly close to the original Dior homme.
