Defies me why one would climb the top of Everest. Doing things for others would be much more useful than adding another hat to your already burgeoning collection. Also seems your own life is less important to yourself than those back home, that care for you

Why is the government of Nepal didn't invest any safety station for every zone? Something like a bunker that is really strong and well insulated that can withstand the storm and avalanche? That is full of medical emergency kit and oxygen tanks so they can refill their oxygen before assaulting the summit or whoever needs it? And for descending perhaps a cable car for an emergency situation or whoever exhausted mountaineers that want to go down quickly. For sure the casualties were minimize and it will become more attractive for more future mountaineers and for sure it will boost the tourism industry of their country.

Looking at those " white and yellow igloo shaped things" I am convinced that they have Turkish steam baths and 2 star restaurants at base camp. (I would not be surprised that there is a Nightclub now)

Man and they thought the mountain was over crowded back 96 when the storm hit.. one those crazy storms. There's at least 10 above the old Hillary step. There's got at least be 30 40 On the traverse and there is few on the step too. And least couple at south summit. Storm comes in as fast as did In 96 everybody here would be goners unfortunately

I’m Polish , my name is Piotr streemich Tatamovich, in 2002 I cross Hillary step in just white track suit and crocs from TKmaxx , when I reach summit I eat 4 polish sausages and return back the basecamp in 45 minutes, I’m best climber in world, like betman. Now I retire and drive (and steal packages) with DPD.
