IRATA Level 1 - BASIC RIGGING
Просмотров 15 тыс.2 года назад
As a minimum, a basic anchor system consists of two ropes, each with its own anchor connection. Where a suitable structure is present, ropes can be simply rigged to two similar anchor slings or strops placed next to each other. Where ropes are to be rigged from two separate structural elements or bolt anchors, the rigging of a Y-hang offers three advantages: precise positioning of ropes, sharin...

IRATA Level 1 - Basic Haul System - Raise and Lower
Просмотров 15 тыс.2 года назад
In many situations where the top anchors are easily accessible and a clear descent can be achieved, rescue can be expedited by rigging the ropes as a releasable lowering system. Where access to the structure is only possible from above, evacuation may require lifting a casualty. Where a need for a hauling type of rescue has been identified, the rescue plan should ensure equipment is in place to...
IRATA Level 1 - Basic Ascent & Descent
Просмотров 20 тыс.2 года назад
Climbing a rope (ascending an anchor line) is the second basic technique in rope access and is accomplished by the alternate use of two ascending devices, typically a chest ascender and a handled ascender with a foot loop. The controlled descent of ropes is a core technique in rope access. Rope access Technicians must be able to control their speed and stop as required.
IRATA Level 1 - Double Deviation
Просмотров 11 тыс.2 года назад
Deviations allow re-direction of the path of the ropes from the anchor points, either to provide more accurate positioning for the rope access Technician or to avoid abrasion and other potential causes of damage to the ropes.
IRATA Level 1 - Horizontal Aid Climb - Mobile Anchors
Просмотров 10 тыс.2 года назад
Horizontal aid climbing is a technique which is commonly used by rope access Technicians to allow them to move across the underside of a structure such as a roof or bridge.
IRATA Level 1 - Passing 90 degree edge and mid rope protection
Просмотров 23 тыс.2 года назад
The edges of roofs, platforms, cliffs, cavities and other drops may be unprotected or surrounded by edge protection such as guardrails or parapet walls. In many cases, the edge presents both an awkward obstruction for the rope access Technician and a contact hazard to the ropes.
IRATA Level 1 - Passing Mid Rope Knots
Просмотров 8 тыс.2 года назад
Knots may be tied mid-rope, either to isolate minor damage or to join ropes of insufficient length.
IRATA Level 1 - Rescue from Descent Mode - Separate Ropes
Просмотров 20 тыс.2 года назад
Most rope access work is carried out while in descent mode; therefore, all rope access Technicians should be capable of carrying out a rescue of a co-worker suspended by a descending device.

Why does he use the backup device that needs to manually be pulled down when the other backup ASAP does it automatically. It seems like the ASAP would be easier. And he had it on his right hip?
He switched from ASAP to the manual back up device to pass the knot. He just never switched back to ASAP.
Very explanatory!!
you make it look very easy ....😀
why not remove the casualties back up device once you have the casualty secured, - rope management keep it simple keep it clean less is more and don't have 4 sets of cow tails asking for trouble.
If its not in the way and works why would you want to remove a point of attachment? Redundancy seems like a safety rule. Less is more just seems like a freesolo
Hi we need level 1 staff in oman if any body interested
Best harness by far. The expert 3 is a totaly good system. I'll never understand the Pet'z idea. A good presentation my guy.
Hi, something I pick up with technicians a lot is they like to grab the rope when ascending and not the ascender. I noticed you did the same in the first move. Personal opinion, it is not good practice as you will get rope burn on the hands if there is a slip.
where those anchors point purchases
where those purple anchors point purchases
Bro, one of the best presentations I've seen and I've been in the ES industry for over 40 years! Very well done!
I Love your techniques please be my mentor
Man you post Great videos, very simple and easily explained, congrats for your work 👏👏👏 I'm happy and impressed
Looks simple. I wanna do this and earn some big bucks.
Any recruitment replacement im from India punjabi have hight experience in towers
Descending with the chest ascender is a very strange technique to recommend. Why not just use your descender?
I much prefer the method that you used, ie attaching a duck (or second back up). This is what I've always done 'in the field'. However, when I did my level 1 we were taught to tie a second alpine loop in the back up line and then clip a cowstail into the new knot that you've just tied and then move your asap above the knot being passed. I don't really know why I was trained this way as like I said, I find it much quicker and easier to use a second back up in the same way that you did. I suppose it's a case of 'horses for courses'. 😂😂
I noticed that you had 4 cowstails. And also your short (or hard) link was made up from the middle of the cowstails. When I did my level 1 we only had 2 cowstails and we used a short link made up of either 3 carabineers, or a specialist short link. So, I just wondered why you had 4 cowstails instead of just 2 like I was originally trained with?
I am training for IRATA level 1 and the video is so helpful. thank very much. 11/03/2024
This is terrific for someone who has a handful of random climbing gear, like myself. A nice bit would be for someone who doesn't understand how these devices work, a bit of an explanation. Nice demonstration regardless. Thank you. 😊
You can also connect via the sternal D ring keeps you upright and less FF
Diamond to diamond --carabiner to carabiner this rescue just failed
Does the chesty only count as half a point of contact? Coupled with a hand jammer making it a full point of contact.
correct
Yes
Suis intéressé je suis peintre j'aimerais apprendre la corde
Do it my friend. The level one is not easy it is fun.
Excellent experience!
Difference between rope access technician and rigging rope ?
Very comprehensive, definitely had tips I had never heard but are real helpful
ASAP- is that the generic name for this device?
It's the model name - Petzl ASAP
Without carabiner on the top of ascension grip ..... very bad
Very wonderful vedio Sir🎉🎉
How much salary level 1
20 Rs per day
It will depend on what company you work for and what they are willing to pay you for your qualification. Level 1 is fairly low but still a highly marketable skill, if you are currently with a company it would be worth negotiating your pay.
Explained so well
Your technique is so beautiful to watch. It looks like a dance the way you move your hands when alternating between the ID and the duck
That was my 1'st minor on cow's tail, forgot to do up karabiner.Nailed the course but.Bloody beat myself up over this
Too fast! Shite.
Very good your training demo
Genial!!
love and respect from Punjab india
I think an ASAP looks like a better backup device than a duck, with more safety features, so why do the majority if not all RA technicians in similar videos have an ASAP as main backup and duck as secondary, why not two ASAP devices? It seems that ASAP would be a little heavier than duck, but for me safety would be more important than the extra few grams. Also when you do a maneuver like then, when you remove the primary backup from the old set of ropes, why not put it onto the new set above or below the duck and remove the duck? Sure it's an extra move, but again to me the ASAP looks to be the safest and more feature rich of the two devices.
Is it possible to use polyester round sling as a anchor point on structure?
Muito bem ☺️☺️
The Best Trainer Ever..Mr. NP.
good job 👍
have a question: descent with the ascending device, is it needed in case my descender fails? asking as I don't see any other situation why its needed (found the answer in other of your videos, rope to rope transfer :p)
I run 3 cowstails (a bull nose and a Progress Adjust). I'm interested in why you've got 4. Is that just for extra capacity? What do you use the 4th one for?
Noyce and AZ!
Tell me about cow's tails. I saw that you chose dynamic rope. Is there a standard rope diameter or a particular type of rope (static, dynamic, or rigging rope) requirement for cow's tails, or is it simply a matter of personal choice?
