Would really love if grid records could be 3-5 lines tall. We could fit pertinent data without so much side scrolling. The side scrolling leads to lots of missed information like you see at 0:35 We’re trained to read more vertical once we reach the end of the page so it’s not intuitive to have to scroll like a spreadsheet. Card view doesn’t have enough horizontal info since every field is a new line. We need a way to have horizontal fields wrap to another line. Hope we also eventually get a more customizable record view with a drag and drop grid. The current single ,50/50, 70:30 is too restrictive

At 1:04:57 Jon mentions new roles/licenses/seats/pricing for portal-like users. "Coming in Q4" ... "that we'll announce in the next couple of weeks." Has this been released and I can't find it, or is it delayed? Status / timeline update?

I don't see the point of this video at all. It's impressive for you, but I actually stupidly thought you were going to show everyone how it's done, the interfaces? API's? Automations? How does the data move between smartsuite and wordpress? You say you only use smartsuite, but I know there is no way of doing that without an in-between like integrally or make? There are still no incoming webhooks in smartsuite so are you literally bespoke coding the entire API? I contacted your sales team and was recently told there's no current plan to integrate Woocommerce. The extra questions I asked about our particular use case (getting user data from WP to smartsuite) was not even answered.

I want to do this, but do it through linked records as well. Good database design allows for there to be different tables (through a linked record) to hold details. But when an end user is working on the parent item in a dashboard, they just want to see everything that is associated with it and treat it "like" one record.

SmartSuite est un service à éviter. Le support est inexistant malgré plusieurs e-mails envoyés et consultés par l’entreprise (lecture confirmée par notre tracker d’e-mails). L’entreprise ne réagit pas et fait la sourde. Je déconseille fortement ses services ! SmartSuite is a service to avoid. Support is non-existent despite several emails sent and viewed by the company (reading confirmed by our email tracker). The company does not react and turns a deaf ear. I strongly advise against his services !

If a project is a big client group and we have several clients like this, would a "project" be a "solution" or a "record" inside a 'projects' solution?

Smartsuite = Full of BUGS! In 2021, it was unusably bad. Now, in 2024, it has the same bugs. The Gantt chart is completely useless. When modifying, it automatically deletes saved dates, and then those dates suddenly reappear. I’m a programmer; I know what a browser is, what cache is; I’m not interested in nonsense. Smartsuite promoted itself by saying the company cares about its customers. There is NO support; Smartsuite never responds to emails, and there is never a response on chat. Smartsuite also promoted itself as reliable, unlike ClickUp. Lies. It’s a hundred times worse than ClickUp, although that’s not useful either-just frustrating. It's great that they’re lying in the comments and in the videos, but using it is different from the marketing for which they receive money in the video. Not to mention that neither ClickUp nor Smartsuite can handle automatic scheduling for start and end dates, they don’t track dependencies, and the grid view conflicts with the Gantt solution. Both ClickUp and Smartsuite are chaotic messes. Anyone who wants to work uses GanttPro. Yes, it’s more expensive, but it works! And I don’t get paid by GanttPro; in fact, I’m not even a GanttPro customer, but I know what works and what’s just a cheap plaything.

Great functionality. My OCD is off the chain with the linked records display. Will the fields be able to be justified in the future?

How can a progress indicator be used to see the progress of a linked record (eg. based on status)? Airtable can use formulas in a Rollup but this doesn't work in Smartsuite

Your video has answered a niggling concern I've had from my getgo with SmartSuite-how you give users USEFUL snippets of information, in a tidy format-when there are conditions and linked records driving the very problem the user wants to solve (sans overwhelming data!). I have 32 tables I need to connect (and the number is growing) and you've helped me see how I can keep things simple. You've given me a heap of confidence I can do this!
