This china is made of cheaper bronze aNd has a pseudo-brilliant finish so it has a ton of extra high-end bite that I’m not a big fan of, so I added some hammer groupings along the edge and ride area to dry it out juuuuust a tad. It also brought down the pitch a little bit, but all-around it’s trashier and darker-sounding so I’m a big fan of the end result. I would recommend this customization to others who want a higher-pitched, yet dark and trashy china sound. All I used was a small ball-peen hammer

this is so damn good but the e kit does kill it a little and ngl i have the same issue where i record the ekit and it replays the sound bite without any personality and the notes just sound the same but it's really good probably the best i've seen ngl
