Very sweet sounding Dexta. Thank you for the video.
Thank you very mutch 🙂
Cowlings, and fingers, are for sissies.
That transmission sound is so good
Yes, i love the sound 🙂👍
I love the way the gearbox "talks" to you. It's very nice.
Yes I love it,than you very much 🙂
I had a 1947 Chevrolet Fleetmaster that had a vacuum shift for second gear. You could always hear it when I shifted gears. I really liked the car and sound.
Nice to hear 🙂
Good Morning, is the vehicle for sale? God Bless
No I am sorry, I love her almost as much as my wife 😊😊
What a gem.
😊
Thank you very much😊
My dad had one of these. It was used, 13 y/o but new to us. a part in the transmission needed to be replaced, so getting into first gear was a hassle. His model was dark green and had a radio. Not many did. I wonder how much the radio was?
🙂👍
My Grandfather's car he brought in 1938 :))
Nice 🙂
I am 72 years old. When I was growing up my parents had a 1956 Chevrolet BelAir that had the six cylinder engine and the 3 speed column shift. The 1956 Chevrolet had the same gear whine sound in first and second gear. It sure seems like the three speed manual transmission changed very little from 1939 to 1956.
I agree, l think both engine and transmission are very much the same.By the way, Belair was a super nice and good looking car. l am 73 yers old😊😊
its amazing what america once build as an affordable vehicle. 30 years later - let alone today that wasnt happening anymore! the gearbox whine (?) sounds like an ww2 bomb alarm haha!
😂👍👍
Compared to the machines of that time, any modern premium- bucket with bolts. At that time, they were building masterpieces on wheels, and not riveting bastard consumer goods.
Agree 👍😊
Back about 1952 my father had a black coupe. He still talks about it to this day. He and my mother loved that car. 1939 was a unique year for Chevy with the "baby Cadillac" front end and the deletion of the convertible for that one year.
nice to hear, I totally agree 😊👍
Snyggal bil, min far hade en.
super👍og mange tak

Gorgeous car and very quiet. I would love to live where he does; in the beautiful countryside and away from my goofy noisy neighbors .
Thank you very much 😊
Beautiful car and beautiful scenery, reminds me a little of middle Tennessee. Greetings from East Tennessee!
Thank you very much 😊😊
i would like too say something humbly.. this was the year 1939 that a English Gent Built a Car and Shipped it to the U.S of A and Proceeded to the Bonneville Salt Flats ,,And Raced it Too A Top Speed Of 368 Mph... .. THE land speed Record held for around a Decade until he broke it at 400.............HIS NAME JOHN RHODES COBB
Wow, impressive, I didn’t know that. 👍😊
I previously owned one and it ran well. But was difficult in the rain because the vacuum wiper motors slowed to a stop while accelerating.
Ok, I never had that problem, it runs great in all weathers 😊😊
@@chevychristian4734 my comment wasn't about how the Chevy ran,it was about the vacuum wiper motor slowing while the car is accelerating. It may be that your wiper motor has been replaced with an electric motor.
@@DrewH789 Sorry I misunderstood your comment. My wiper motor also runs with vacuum and I don’t have the problem tou mention. 😊
Great dash.
😊😊
Im good😂😂

The suspension system was worse than that of a horse cart.

The owner is senior soprano 😊😊
Wow, super flot bil!
Mange tak 😊😊
Looking at the dash, it this was a bread-and-butter Chev in 1939, I can only imagine what the Cadillac division had to offer !!! I learned to drive in a 1941 Chevrolet Fleetwood in the 50s..... Greetings from Australia Les Griffiths

sleep driving
Interesting that the driver does not use the gears to shift down and provide a braking force. Even non synchro gears can be effectively shifted with practice.
Exactly, practice pays off 👍😊
The museum is running. It could even collect donations.
👍😊
the vehicle I drive today might have more creature comfort's and be better in the rain and snow. But it will never come close to the pride of craftsmanship cars had back in the day. Guarantee you this car with just simple maintenance will run far far longer than anything sold new now.
You are right 👍😊😊
160 km (kılometers) Where they usıng ''metrıc system'' durıng those days,we were :) Greetıngs from Turkıye
😊
The steering-wheel shifter arm was something that never caught on outside of North America and only the quintessentially American brands such as Chevy and Chrysler ever had it. Even on Ford cars it was very rare in Europe.
Ok I did not know 😊
yes, wonderfull, thank you for this magnific tour!!!! Only 3 ways on shift? Okay!!!!
😊😊
Can you even compare interior materials to modern plastic bags cars?
Can somebody explain why the speedometer is in kilometers per hour? At least it looks like it going up to 160 ;)
It is a car for the europen marked. It was bought in Denmark 1939. 😊😊
Spur gears are sounding nice
😊
Is this really an original car????... 80 year old!!!... He runs great... No noise.. Natural wood dashboard.. Real American Car!!!
I have fitted fog lights, but otherwisi it is 100% original and runs really well. 😊😊
