First let me say that your quilts are beautiful and make your quilt studio so inviting! Love love love your space. Thanks for sharing!
Thank you Jenny for your kind comments! I've moved to a new house since making that video and will be making a video of my new studio in the very near future.
My Husband loves light houses. Where did you get all of those.
Thank you, glad you could enjoy the video. My lighthouse patterns are based on my own photos and photos of others who gave me permission. All my lighthouse patterns are available on my website: quiltpatternsmore.com
Very lovely awesome size very creative and very colorful
Thank you Ruth!
Beautiful! I love your quilt studio, Karen. I love how well-lit your studio is. Like you stated, lighting is very important.
Thank you!
Your quilts are absolutely stunning 🤩 Beautiful and unique ❤️
Thank you Val!
Lovely large and organized studio. I love how you lay your quilts on a table. Dakota and Montana are perfect helpers I’m sure! Love their names
Thank you for your kind comments.
Wow, your studio is fantastic.
Love the China cabinets!
Thank you!
Did you cut the hole out yourself? Nice cabinet
No, because it was formica, my contractor who was doing remodeling at my house cut it out. I have cut out other sewing machine holes that were on a plain wood cabinet. Used a large drill bit to make a starting hole, then used a jig saw to cut the rectangle space.
You're an inspiration! I wish I lived closer to you. I have a studio myself, however it pales in comparison to yours -- and mine is 700 square feet, so I thought I had a pretty big space! I especially like how you've hung your quilts on the walls. I haven't done that yet, primarily because I always end up giving my quilts away. I'm not as skilled as you are just yet, but I'm just really inpsired by what you have done here. I use a king quilter II. I just bought a bernette embroidery and sewing machine for fun, but I mainly use two Juki's - an F600 and a Q2000 for piecing. I find it very difficult to meet people that quilt like I do. If ever you're in Florida....
Thanks for watching my tour. What part of FL are you? I was in Punta Gorda before moving to TN. Enjoy your space, equipment, and keep making quilts that you like; that's the important part.
Love the color coordinated fabrics and cabinets.
Beautiful, well-equipped large studio. Enjoyed your tour and colorful buffets for storage. Thank you for the excellent video.
Thanks for watching!

Spectacular job setting up your work space! I love the colored cabinets, spaciousness and outside views! I'm a dog mom so I really like them being allowed to be with you! Your quilts are fantastic!
Thank you Colleen! I consider it my sanctuary.
Brilliant idea!
Awe I love it!! I love repurposed furniture and sewing!! My sewing studio is on the 2nd level of our house and my walls aren’t full height due to the slope of our roof. If they were full height I would definitely have my walls lined with hutches!! Happy sewing!! 🌺
Great décorative storage idea. Thanks

Great way to store you batting. And it can roll out to cut it oh my brilliant. Mine is propped in the corner of my craft room behind my dress form. I know if I put it on a rod it would be sew 🧵 much easier. Thanks
Thanks Martha. I use to store mine like yours until I finally got enough space to have this closet built.
Hi.. great idea to put batting on dowels. Thanks for sharing. Hugs
Very clever. I use the rubber waffle mats to set my machines on for antivibration. They also serve as ready pin cushions.

Thanks Edie! It's all fun stuff.
Karen, this gorgeous space helps to answer a lot of questions in my mind about putting a sewing room in the basement. We’re retiring and looking to move so getting a larger space for me is paramount. Happy to have found you and be a new subscriber. I love lighthouses too!
Thank you! Go for the largest space you can afford; it's worth it; you'll love it!
What a cool quilt room! I LOVE IT and your creativity❤

Lovely studio and great ideas shared!! Thank you!
Oh wow, wow, wow!! I think your huge studio is amazing. I am so glad that I found your channel. I have been a quilter for about 2-3 years and am very interested in quilt art. I have made a few quilts, for family and myself. However, I have not made one like yours. What do you suggest to a beginner who is interested in the type of quilts that you create? I am located in a rural area in Queensland Australia. While my town does have a quilt shop I do not know of any classes that would teacher me the techniques to use for this different type of quilt.Thank you .
Thank you Silvia for visiting my video and your kind comments. I took classes that interested me and also bought quilt books that had techniques that looked good to me. Besides that, I just dove in and started designing my own quilts, and playing with many different fabrics in the colors I liked. Have you joined The Quilt Show? thequiltshow.com It's an online quilting site with lots of classes, videos, etc. I recommend that as a start to get you familiar with other well known quilters. Most of all, have fun with the process and you will do well. Best, Karen
@@karenkuske6455 oh thank you so much for the quick reply and suggestions. I will follow your suggestions and start. Best wishes
