Welcome to Saxony Models, a small RUclips channel where I document building a 18x2ft, North Eastern Railway model railway in EM Gauge
Model Railway White Metal Wagon Soldering
A how-to video on soldering a White Metal Wagon together.
I apologies for the shockingly bad quality video, this is my first how-to attempt, but hopefully you get the gist of the techniques I’ve used and you can use these on your own models and start running some kit built wagons to mix up your RTR!
If you’ve got any questions, I’ll be more than happy to answer them.
This video will be deleted and replaced as soon as I’ve filmed a better one that features less arm hair…
Kit used:
51L Diagram G2 12T covered goods wagon from Wizard Models
Atten 937 Soldering Iron with chisel tip, set to 250 Celsius (500F)
London Road Models Phosflux 12
White Metal Solder
Set square

An Afternoon on Little Bytham - 26/6/2021 Many thanks to Tony for inviting me down for a running session on the amazing layout that is 'Little Bytham'. It is truly an astounding Model Railway, and I was truly privileged to be allowed to run a couple of my locos on it, including; - Hornby Thompson A2/3 60516 'Hycilla' - Hornby Thompson A2/3 60523 'Sun Castle' - Hornby Gresley A4 60024 'Kingfishe...

Hatton’s DCC Sound Class 66 ‘66789’

One of the latest editions to the Hollymoor fleet from Hattons, 66789 ‘British Rail 1948 - 1997’. This model has been sound fitted by Roads and Rails and features an EM2 speaker and Legomanbiffa sound file. The perfect combination!
Hornby B1: DCC Sound

Fitting sound and lights into any model can truly transform it, and that’s definitely the case with this Hornby B1! I’ve fitted Youchoos B1 sound file with a Rail Exclusive speaker, Firebox glow and working DCC Concepts lamps onto this model, and it’s simply bliss. Only a few bits left to do now, there’s some minor cosmetic details that need touching up, chuff rate needs syncing and then she’s ...
This might have just sold me to having my 7mm B17 go DCC. I might contact You Choose for this. Trouble I’ve found is the B17 sounds they do, don’t sound right as it comes from the B12 in my book. As using a B1 or V2 would be better in my eyes due to the similarities.
I hope you saw what I did there…😂😂😂
Great work. Look forward to more videos like this. 👍
Thank you! Should have a video on etch brass coming soon
Better without background music
Looking forward to watching yours without background music 👍
Yes please more like this a full kit build would be great
That would have spilt someone's mug of tea 😂
Found this very informative and great to follow. would love to see more on this please Thank you
Really useful video mate. More like this in the future please
Fabulous! Are the Up and Down Fast lines 45mm or 50mm ctc?
Really good. The weathering looks great
Oi! Where's the derailment? Lol
🤗 ᵖʳᵒᵐᵒˢᵐ
Looking good mate. Have to get some big ex-GC freight locos on there soon
Best I can offer is a Q6 or a B1!
@@Saxonymodels we'll sort something out mate and I'll get some stuff over to you if you like
Very nice…. For a kettle ;-)

Nice Slo Mo, look forward to seeing on the layout. Cheers for sharing!
Cracking layout. Many thanks for sharing 😊👍
Thank you for sharing Tony 👍
not bad model but is the green a little blue looking, i dont know maybe it is my monitor.
It's probably a mix of my camera/your monitor and the fact that Hornby didn't quite get the shade of Brunswick right!
It looks like it's meant to be very sun weathered to me
Is that you on the Bongos?
Nice update like it very much .Hope there more to come .Got my support.
Great loco mate, thanks for sharing, all the best, Paul
👋👍🏻
Awesome sound!
Thank you! More on the way 🙂
Hi, It seems you have 3 chuffs instead of 4 per wheel rotation. Still needs some fine tuning ? Overall sounds convincing. Success!
Yes you are right! My friend has a Sprog which I’ll use next time I’m round to correct the Chuffs
Very nicely done mate. Now I know who to send all mine to for lights and sound 😉
You’ll have a job on DC! 😉
@@Saxonymodels that's a challenge I know you're capable of overcoming mate
Hello young dylan
Bleedin’ kettle! Who’s Sound file is in it? Very crisp too.
If it makes you feel better, I’ll stick 37558 on next time! Youchoos sound file with a rail exclusive speaker. A very nice combo if you ask me
I don't mine a diesel but you can't beat the sound of steam and this sounds great. 🚂🚃🚃🚃
Nice 🙂
