Kinda wanna do it, but im scared, havent studied, havent taken it before and im a junior. . .
Math 800, english 580😭😭😭
I'm guessing they are sophomores who thought it was just a little harder than honors chem
Yup, we got at least 2 of em in our class now🤦🏾♀️
So what does this mean for people like me who took the tests? How do I get paid 4 years later?

Since the webinar already happened, was it recorded so it's possible to watch it online?
Use Mentomind app, it will be beneficial for you, it will make your preparation easier and your concepts will also be clear.
1160, want 1410
Will the LSAT go away (in 2025 and thereafter)? 🤔

Can you write stuff on your common app activities on your resume
I got a 1460 on the March School Day SAT, is this the same one? I didn't prepare at all because I had already gotten a 32 on the ACT, and this was mandatory for my school.
Awesome. Have you had any Kazakhstan clients??
Hi Nick I'm taking the SAT in the UK in 2 months, this is all very new to me and slightly overwhelming right now. Been going over some practise questions and reading my way through the digital SAT book. Im going to start preparing as you said but is there any other advice you can give me to get a better understanding of the modules as its been a while since i've studied both english and maths? thanks.
I enjoyed my time in law school, but I always knew I didn't want to practice law. I was an accountant for ten years before I went to law school. I graduated from law school at age 34 and got myself a job as a college professor shortly thereafter. To this day, that has been the best career decision I ever made. That said, I've been out of law school 26 years since graduation, and as I see it, the two single biggest problems connected with law school are the oversaturated legal job market and the almost prohibitive tuition. In the mid 90s, the tuition at the school I went to (I won't say where) was $15,000 per annum for in-staters and $18,000 for out-of-staters (which I was). Those were reasonable amounts back then and I damn near bankrupted myself to pull it off even then. At my alma mater now, the in-state rate is $31,000 per annum for in-staters and $40,000 per year for out-of-staters. No wonder people are finishing law school with $150-$200k in debt. If I were 31 years old now contemplating law school as compared to 1995, I can't say that I'd do it again, and I absolutely loved law school. There's absolutely no way that I'd have $200k in law school debt working a $70,000, 90 hours per week job chained to a desk doing nothing but document review. I'd be ashamed to call myself a lawyer if that was all I did.
I think the less questions and more time questions has not good however I think making science part optional is a mistake
I got 1230 i want 250+
i got a 5 😇
my teacher didn’t teach much we all played games the whole class but i got a 3 without studying it was mostly common sense i guess 😅
Easiest ever
Is there a practice like this on the college board website? I took a practice test and don’t remember it looking like this? Thanks!
It's definitely doable to get a 3 and above so it's fair. AP chemistry, Physics, and calculus requires studying the AP practice exams.
Hi
Hey Nick, Ive been able to review questions and identify weak points from the college board practice tests but I'm running into an issue. I dont know some of the exact "names" of some problems that keep coming up to be able to find similar ones online or on RUclips. Do you have any recommendations for identifying the "names" of specific math problems ? To be clear here's an example. I see a problem asking for the vertex of quadratic equation and I know the question type is "Finding the vertex of a quadratic equation by completing the square and converting to vertex form" This example I know the name of but many other problems are much harder to google.
You might want to try searching around on Khan academy or using a diagnostic tool that will do the work for you. Some have the capability of feeding you questions similar to the one you got wrong.
Hello Nick I will be entering the junior year of high school in like 2 months and I want to start studying for the DSAT. Is doing the entire digital SAT khan acedemy course + practice exams from bluebook enough? And how reliable is R.Test? Should I be using it as well?
Never heard of R test. I would suggest you stick to official materials as much as possible if you want to keep the cost down. If you want to spend money i would spend it on instruction not question banks. Hope that helps and good luck!
Would you say going through the digital SAT course on Khan academy + doing the practice exams on blue book be enough to ace the DSAT? Any other recommendations? And what should I do when I run out of things to study and practice?
are there enough questions?
code a spining donut
Why wouldn’t you recommend majoring in pre law?
Secret to getting a 1200 is to take the test between 2005 and 2015.
i enter point in desmos graph How tojoin them with straight lines
I teach those 3 AP physics class...Physics 1, Mech-C and E&M-C. By far the one with the lowest pass rate is physics 1 for a variety of reasons. Firstly the Mechanics-C tends to attract the more capable students. But more importantly, Mech-C is less conceptual and more computational. Also the ability to apply calculus makes it easier to develop some of the concepts. But answering the Physics 1questions require a deep understanding of the fundamental concepts, and there is little room to hide behind equations. The most rigorous of the classes is E&M. I describe MechC as calculus based physics, while EM is physics based calculus. Some of the integrals in EM would be challenging for even some math majors. Fortunately the majority of my EM students are also doing dual enrollment calculus3 and differential equations, which is enormously advantageous since I can teach EM as multivariable vector calculus, like it is taught as an upper division undergraduate level. And I have a much better pass rate in EM (pretty much everybody gets 5s). But if you only have been up to Calculus BC, then the required math in EM can be very overwhelming.
Well what the fuck is the alternative? Nepotism and diversity hires only? 😅
I got 1270, in need 300 points more
Great video Nick! I lived in Germany during my high school and college years and now that I live in the US again I'm looking to switch my work from 3D game designer to Aerospace Engineer (specifically astronautics). I'm giving myself 2 years to save up money because I work full time to come out of college debt free. My question is, considering I'll be hyper focusing on Math/Science/English over these next 2 years, how long should I wait until I do my SAT? (1 year, 1 1/2 years or wait just before I apply to college?) And what sites would you recommend for English practice? Already using Kahn and Brilliant for math. Thanks!
Thank you for the kind words! I'd recommend you start studying 1 year before you need to apply. So like in Novemeber the year before you want to start college. Yes, Khan academy is great! Doing the college board practice tests are great way to prepare in addition to khan academy. I also have a Digital SAT prep book that has strategies for english: amzn.to/3KFnqrl and offer free practice proctored tests in office and virtually: curvebreakerstestprep.com/practice-exams/.

Thank you so much for the amazing video. This is exactly what I needed!
Glad I could help:) Good luck!
@@NickTheTutor could you lemme know of some free online resources?
Khan Academy is great! There's also college board practice tests. I'd recommend doing Practice test 5 and 6, which are closer to the difficulty of the real exam. We also offer free proctored SAT exams virtually and in-person: curvebreakerstestprep.com/practice-exams/

Reviewed the vocab, mastered the Khan Academy course, studied lists and control structures, studied impact of computing. Hoping for a 5!!
my teacher put 3 full length MCQ tests on AP classroom and I just did all of them and reviewed my wrong answers all in the week before the test 🤷♂️

I don't think it is useful as the SAT is fairly easy if you study for it. The SAT is probably the worst way to determine educational achievement. Moreover, when I was taking the SAT, the only one I could take was at a different school 3 hours away at 5am. It is ridiculous.
Testing is the most fair selection method.
What’s APUSH?

I was supposed to take it today but my school got shutdown for weather 😮

Yes. In general, it is unfair to the admissions process for students who have had access to AP coursework to have an advantage over students who have not had the same academic benefit. That said, the explosion in AP offerings is due, in large part, to the growing poor quality of content offerings in mathematics and the sciences. Admissions departments across the country have noted the sharp disparity between those with the AP score of 4 or 5 and those who have only taken standard or honors level classwork in the field. 50 years ago you'd have taken an achievement test in the various courses to signify the depth of your understanding.
