i love these types of games, very self-contained stories with conclusive but unspecific endings, just absolute fuel for the imagination. Reminds me of those historical choose-your-own-adventure books where if you understood enough about the era the limited view of the main character to the entire world (the weird details of this game with the allegoric doppelganger and the... arm orifice? LOL) just make you question the intricacies. Like as if the smallness of the story helps put you into the shoes but not the clothes of that person. Love your commentary btw man please make more stuff like this.
Thank you so much! I haven't really experienced any games like this before, but I'm definitely on the lookout for more now. I totally agree, all these things that make you draw your own conclusions add so much to the strange atmosphere. I've always loved things that make me engage my imagination so that part really draws me in, too.

I definitely recommend getting the game and playing it for yourself! It’ll be a whole different experience with the correct OST (explained in the pinned comment). Besides getting confused sometimes (which is on me) I think the visuals are really amazing and help add to the atmosphere without needing complex or stressful gameplay.
Cool game! I find it interesting how it doesn't have a "moral", other than maybe isolation in society. This man has no one to turn to for help, people won't listen to him, and very few friendly people show up. I wonder if it is part of a larger horror world, what with the Homeowner's double and the arm orifice. I find it particularly interesting how the game doesn't take a stance on the police; most that include them are either for or against, but this game seems to be neutral. If you need more games to play for spooky month, We Went Back was recommended to me (I forget by whom). It's set in space and seems very atmospheric. A non-spooky recommendation that I really enjoyed is The Unfinished Swan! The game play mechanics were unique and engaging, it was a really charming little story. Have a nice day! :)

Okay woah. I just finished editing the third one of these and was watching back through this one when I noticed at 16:52 ish the video cuts out. I was confused and thought maybe it was a RUclips thing, but it turns out that when I was making the after-outro clip I dragged that clip over there instead of duplicating it. I was having trouble with that throughout the entire editing process on this one lol. So yeah, that clip is kinda funny cut off like that, but the rest of it is at the very end of the vid
