Awesome catches. I remove the tailhook because the fish will mostly hit the head. So the tail hook will just cause additional damage to the fish. Especially with a 3 sectional hook lure. More difficult to release

Some of the best baits on the planet can have their hooks marry. As a unskilled angler you blamed the bait. You still think you know what’s up today. You don’t. Real sticks know how to cast big swimmers without making them helicopter and hit the water like a cannonball. Poor design? 😂
