There was never a time in the modern era of haute couture like Ferré’s tenure at Dior. It wasn’t costume or irrelevant. It was impossibly, incredibly super chic and feminine. It was high fashion in every meaningful term and definition.

Most of the clothes could be worn straight from the catwalk unlike today when almost all of the clothes are weird and unwearable. The models were beautiful ,healthy and slim instead of emaciated and gaunt like models today.
