If you're using Nord make sure you use one of the optimized servers in the description. In any case, just close browser (or reboot device) and try another IP address. Private/incognito mode can help if real difficulties but 99% of the time it's the IP being blocked.

This was my first thought when I heard it would only be available in the UK. Was I the only one who sat through dozens upon dozens of VPN ads on RUclips
I was hoping this video might be a little more than 'use a VPN'. I do use a VPN but iPlayer knows you're using one after a while. Because while it hides your actual IP address, most systems know what IP addresses your VPN uses of course. So it will eventually block you and give you an error message. Maybe you're getting different results, so good on you, but this just simply doesn't work for me using SurfShark.

Interesting enough, even with a VPN set to a location in the UK; you may get rejected. I found forcing a reload of the page a few times often gets you in. Not always of course. I just change the location inside the UK and that generally works; combined with forcing a reload of the page a few times, if it doesn't. don't forget "Get iPlayer Automator" that allows you to DL and K programs to watch later. It can be a bit fiddly at times. Make sure programs are "available" and you've cleared the "download history" and that you've selected the best available frame size. Some are 1080P; some aren't and the DL may crash.

@@user-ex9nd9in8f certainly will be hostile !! It works perfectly on iphone/iPad and Amazon tablet there are instructions in the setup guide on the site. However it only works well with these when connected via a Wi-Fi network - unfortunately doesn't work well with mobile networks like 3g/4g.

You need to setup a free account first - www.itv.com/hub/user/signup make sure you've got your VPN connection enabled and connected to a UK server first though. You'll need an email address and get a valid UK postcode ready to sign up.

Yes you'll need an account for ITV Hub and a password. They're free though. Just connect to a UK VPN before you create an account. You'll need an email address and I think they ask for a UK postcode (use any valid one).
