Thank you.but I need more quizzes
What kind of quizzes would you like?
Thanks for the very entertaining chat and the great views of Appledore!! It looked like a dance when the sailing boats appeared on the not so slow TV. 😊
Glad you enjoyed the views of Devon. Next week we may have more water sports activity from Getxo.
Stumbled across your podcast and was delightfully surprised. Very entertaining and well told! Thank you very much
Thank you so much. Next week we'll be talking about some more "typical" English culture - tea, gardens and umbrellas!
Marvellous! I have always lived in Bilbao and I do not know that place, and neither how to get there. I live quite near. Bilbao is fabulous; surrounded by mountains: You can hear the birds singing and at the same time the sound of the city. In few minutes you can be in nature 💗 Thanks Richard and Susana!
It's a really good walk. Go to Kastrexana, over the bridge and find the medieval path. The longer route takes you round to Regato.
@@themeetingpointbilbao Thank you very much! Whenever I can, I'll do It.
I love it! Thanks a lot Richard and Susana.
We're glad you liked it. There are many more episodes for you to listen to, and a new one every week!
@@themeetingpointbilbao I know. I am listening to them, and learning a lot! I like the style: the different sections, and the pictures,( vídeos) from Bilbao😊 .

This video is important!
Yes, auxiliary verbs are used a lot by native speakers, but it's a difficult skill to learn.
Hello teacher!
Hello!
THe explication about the junk chinese boats is really interesting 😊❤
Yes, the fascinating world of etymology! A lot of people have trouble with the Junky/Yankee pronunciation.
Good job!

Insulated versus, isolated. It sounds familiar to me . I wonder why ¿? 😆
It wasn't one of yours, was it?
If my brother drew a picture today at any time/ 2 hours ago/ 30 mintues ago, then which is the correct sentence - My brother has drawn a picture very well or My brother drew a picture very well? And if my mother cooked some food any time today/ 2 hours ago/ 30 mintues ago then which is the correct sentence - My mother has cooked or My mother cooked? Please tell me 🙏
Both are correct. The only difference is when you state when it happened. Generally, with "today" you could use either, but if you were speaking in the afternoon and you said "this morning" you would probably use the past simple as there is a distance between the time we are speaking and the time we are speaking about. At least, that's the usage in British English, but there may be variations with other Englishes around the world. Thanks for the message. I hope that answers your question.
Thank you very much 🙏 I heard that present perfect tense is used to describe recent past incidents, so I want to know if my brother drew a picture 30 mintues ago then would it be recent past? And what amount of time I mark as "recent past" 30 mintues/1/2/3 hours?🙏🙏🙏🙏 Thank you very much again for your kindness Sir.
❤
Very polite not to expressively consider us among the loudest people in the western world. Because loud we are, aren't we? 😅😅 A fun and instructive video, as usual. And a very pleasant walk along the ría! Thank you.
Well, it may have been mentioned during the week.

Thank you very much. Glad you enjoyed it.
Me encanta escucharlos 😍
Gracias por tu mensaje y por compartir tu historia!!! No estaba muy familiarizada con este tipo de anuncios, y me ha alegrado ver que también funcionaban. Se ve que la tecnología avanza, pero las personas seguimos buscando lo mismo. Muchas gracias!! ☺
Of course, save the kitten :)
Just look at his cute little face!
Hiiii, first of all Congrats. It’s so interesting and entertaining!!! I love the way you approach every part of your , let’s say, “lesson” . Either vocabulary, confusing words, pronunciation or quotes, all of them beautifully achieved. And the good thing is it’s available in public domain😊. Thank you very much 😊
Thank you very much for your encouraging comments. Next week we'll be discussing "relationships", with more interesting facts and vocabulary.
Thanks for the talk , it’s been fun and interesting ! Talking about exaggeration , I agree that sometimes telling stories , if you exaggerate a bit , the story will be much more fun .
Life would be boring if we only told the truth!
Waw!!! Me encanta. Que buena idea. Ahora toca practicar. Gracias
Thank you very much. Hope you enjoy all our other videos!
Hi Round the Table! Congrats for your discussion on Truth and Lies. It was very interesting to hear your different opinions on whether we should be understanding, or not so much, with politicians' contradictions, especially on Election Day!! Oh, and thanks for the magnificent views of Bilbao. Quite a city!!
It's nice to believe that they have our interests at heart. Yes, Bilbao is quite spectacular - we should get funding from the tourist board. Hope you enjoy next week's programme as well!
Once more, I've really enjoyed while learning! Interesting subjects to talk about. Thanks so much to both of you!😊 😊
... but would you save the kitten? 😿
I like it! Very interesting conversations!
All the best conversations at the Meeting Point!
Very enyoyable lesson! ... thanks so much, I never knew that I had green finders! 😅...love my plants!
I guess you noticed our plants in The Meeting Point. I think they make a much more pleasant atmosphere.
Brilliant! Thank you very much for this video. It is greatly appreciated, especially since the choice of using either the Present Perfect Simple or the Past Simple is quite tricky sometimes for some of us non-native English speakers. In this context, I would be grateful if you could clarify the following for me: Is the (passive) Present Perfect Simple or the (passive) Past simple tense to be used in the following sentence: 'The poet, along with her editors, has been/was invited to the conference.' (?) P.S. I came across this question in a post/quizz 10 minutes ago. It is said that the correct tense is the Past Simple ('was invited'), but to be honest, I don't see why the Present Perfect Simple cannot be used here, especially since no time frame is mentioned, or any other specific context elements that could useful in establishing the time frame of the events; so, my answer was 'has been invited'. Was I wrong? Once again, thank you so much for your help!
Yes, this is often confusing. It's often taught as a distant/recent past, which is not really true. I agree with you that "has been invited" seemed to sound more likely, but without any context neither are wrong. Maybe I will have to discuss this in our Sunday podcast. Thanks for your message.
That would be great! Many thanks for your answer. I'm looking forward to your future posts.
I really like this lesson, very interesting how to explain the different meaning of similar words
Yes, the connections between the words, and the stories they tell, are an interesting way to learn vocabulary.
I have reallý enjoyed and learnt while listening. Thanks a lot! 😊
