Weld overlay with welding or strip or with alloy plates - all are techniques. Each and every vey technique has their own advantages and disadvantages. Designer is the one to decide the technique based on the requirement. In my opinion weld overlay is the best technique for high pressure piping or components or equipment- as it is the most durable and no chance of isolated from the Cs parent base metal due to high pressure or flow

@soumendey1331 We have a situation of 175sq M2 shell 145 + dish 30 SQM for CBA reactor. How many awo machines can fit in and how much mm it can complete with high or medium speed per minute. How many days it can take to deposit 309&347 with weld overlay automatic technique

Can we replace weld overlay technique to strip overlay in this situation

From any trade you can be a PQCS- but direct transition will be difficult- at least a year or a project you need to work as a document controller or procurement engineer- to look at the process closely and gain knowledge for troubleshooting resolution etc, then you can try. Also please check the experience requirement in schedule Q. PQCS is a big position- it is QC MANAGER for procurement

⁠site QC manager controls all the Quality issues for site, whereas PQCS CONTROLS ALL THE QUALITY ISSUES FOR PROCUREMENT/ vendors. so he is considered to be the QC Manager for all the vendors.

You might be talking about the PZV, pressure relief valve- selection of PZV ACTUALLY selecting the spring range of the valve, the more higher rated PZV shall have more stronger spring- so for lower rating if you use higher capacity PZV, it might not pop or release pressure at low range. Hydrotest pressure should fall under 30 to 80% of the pressure gauge range. For example, with a 1000 psi gauge you can deal a hydrotest range of 300 to 800 psi.

Thank you dear for your kind comments, can you please elaborate what type of report you are asking. For quality all the required formats are either part of the quality plan or it is being supplied by your client

@soumendey1331 Sir When we perform qualified welder test after that all qualified welder will do job of fabrication at site ! So such type of report or documentation we have to prepare at that time ! Using isometric drawing We prepare document like 1) Weld visual report 2) Fit up report 3) NDT report 4) Hydrotest Report (if hydrotest) 5) Structural Painting & Coating Report This all reports submitted to client for sign on daily work report!

These all are quality report! There are lot of reports how to identify the joint and how many joint and how to give joint number like this !

What is PIM?

Ok, you mean Pre inspection meeting. This meeting is basically a communication meeting where contractor, client and vendor meet together to finalize the inspection and test plan. They negotiate to decide the witness, surveillance and hold points
