New uppdaterad 20230524 Even before the update it today started to return to the home base automatically without any fails. The app stoped working after update of the app but not updated the robot, now the robot updated automatically and the app works again. It’s getting better! Video in 2x speed

Bought the robot 6days ago. Has not been an easy start. Still having problem with identifying high grass and some edges. Had to place wooden boards as boundaries so the robot doesn’t run away och fall down a steep. Made a lot of adjustments in the yard. Did cut the grass and trimmed it along the sides so the robot easier can “see” differences. Had to change the Wi-Fi ssid to no åäö or Wi-Fi did...

    with any product the specs are key this unit is rated at Maximum slope 17° (30%) so this problem is just someone using it out of spec

      Yeah, but because it’s supposed to be smart I would have programmed it to stop trying and take another route instead of keep trying on the same spot. Both because it should see the hi grass and because of the slope.

    This is not a problem - read the man ual your gras is way too high at this point for the robot...

    You’re meant the cut the grass and then use the robot to keep it short. It’s called mulching.

      In this case it’s too steep for the mower so I want the mower to read the hi grass as a border.

      @@jcjacobssonI have a similar situation. I did end up creating a boundary. Even if you cut the grass. That hill may be too steep.

      It’s going against clockwise and turned to the base. Apparently it’s blinded by the sun, according to the support. But I moved it to a mother place in the shadow and same result, it just won’t see the QR-code anymore.

      Have you solved this yet? Have you also checked the lens so it's not dirty? It looks like it should be the perfect place for the station. Even though I think there's a risk, it can find a way even further in under the deck. What if you have a plank along the side of the station so it has something more distinct to follow?

      @@jcjacobsson I have the LUBA robot mower and sometimes it would avoid tall weeds as well, but they have different obstacle avoidance sensitivity levels now and it's not an issue anymore.

    Is it supposed to just abruptly stop the way it is in this video? It almost looks like it's being impeded, or it's seeing something that isn't there. I've got a Landroid which obviously keeps going in one direction until it hits an obstacle or the boundary wire, but this looks to be almost completely random.

      I actually think it sees the flower and turn to avoid it. Way I don’t know. There’s is no option like, save flowers.

      I had a lot of patience, but now It’s gone. It get trapped in unexplainable places, now days it just go right pass the homestation to. It finds the home maybe 1/5 times.

      Wi-Fi is only for updating the firmware and connecting with the app. So to do so the robot has to be in Wi-Fi range.

    Vision models are just for perfectly shaped gardens. Even better if it is rectangular and all walkways are in straight line.

      @Jimmy Jakobsson I have the M600. I am currently trying to resell it with a minimum loss. Even with a perfectly shaped yard this robot will leave apox 7 inch of grass at the edges.

    This model only works on a perfect shaped garden. you need a wire guided one.

      My opinion so far is that if you doesn’t have a to ruff lawn and have clear boundaries or easily can adjust the lawn too make them clear. Then, yes it seems to do what it supposed to. My lawn if too hard for it, some of the places it stops I guess any ordinary robot would, but with a lot of fixing with fences and rocky borders (doesn’t want the magnetic strip everywhere), I actually think it could manage this as well. But too early too say though, I only had it for one week.

    How did you downloaded the new firmware, I updated the app on the 23/5 sins the the app doesn't have contact with the mover, how did you do 👍

      The mower updated itself. Even if the app didn’t speak to the mower the mower still had Wi-Fi. I put it close to the router though for faster connection.

      I figured out how to finally connect to my wifi. My problem was that my SSID (the name of my wifi network) contained special characters. After renaming my network I could use the app and QR code to get my mower to connect to my wifi.

    I had the same issue after the app update yesterday and was super close to raise a support ticket as also the mower told me it has no wifi connection. All of a sudden it then got the firmware update and connection is working again. I sent the mower right into exploring mode, but this ended up very disappointing. It got stuck two times at a position which was no issue with the previous firmware. At another larger brown spot it turned in circles and finally gave up without finishing exploring.

      Yeah, the exploring part has never fully worked for me either. It never did the whole yard, but after a couple of errors it suddenly find the home and then starts cutting. I guess you could trick it past places where it gets stuck and help it find home. Now, today it found it’s way home several times.

      Jag börjar bli nöjd. Strulade ett dygn först med Wi-Fi och firmware uppdatering med USB, tills felet var att mitt ssid hade åäö, bort med konstiga tecken så var det löst. Den kör en avscanningsrunda först av hela gräsmattan och den har aldrig kunnat köra runt hela min. Min tomt är för svår helt enkelt, många luriga backar och vrår, många ställen med bara en grässlänt i en liten sluttning. Men när den försökt några gånger och man svurit över att behöva starta om från laddstationen varje gång så har den tillslut hittat hem och då kan den börja klippa. Jag har fått bygga ett staket ovan en grässlänt så den inte trillar ned, lagt ut en del spärrar beroendes av brädor tills jag orkar ta tag i att fixa en mer konstant kant. Man fick klippa gräsmattan för hand innan och trimma kanter noga. Den har haft svårt att hitta hem till laddstationen. Men nu en vecka senare och en uppdatering som gjordes automatiskt idag så har den visat stora framsteg. Idag har den kört själv och laddat själv, kört fast en gång men det är min tomts fel, fortfarande en del små gropar, kullar att fixa men hade varit svårt för vilken robot som helst tror jag. Den löser den ”lätta” sidan av min tomt kanon bra, studsmattan är inga som helst problem. Så jag blir mer och mer hoppfull. Men som sagt min tomt tror jag är svår och en utmaning. Har man en enklare tomt och tydliga kanter verkar den funka jätte bra, och man slipper slinga och GPS-stavar i trädgården.

      It’s a slope yes but it still should see the grassborder and turn. When not high grass it do make this leaning of slopes, even if it’s more than it supposed to handle.

      The manual says specifically that slope should be less than X degrees, otherwise, you should use the magnetic stripe to mark it. Also the robot is not designed to handle grass higher than 9cm. I used a regular lawnmower first to remove all high grass before starting using the robot. So far so good

      @@jcjacobsson How long have you been using the vision? It will take a few days to learn where the lawn border line is and it will be “trapped” from time to time. It was a bit frustrating initially as you need to keep resetting it manually, but it will eventually “remember” the border and mow smoothly.

      @@jcjacobsson For quick resolution, you can get extra magnetic strips to mark the border where there is high grass as if you use the strips as the border wire. But this defeats the purpose of getting the vision. Just let it learn via the vision.

    Just ordered one if these I’m in the US and it will be our first experience with an air tent . It just shipped and should be here sometime next week That’s so much for the videos . I’m still hoping it will come with instructions, would be lying if I said I wasn’t a bit nervous.

      @@jcjacobsson we took it out a few weeks ago and it was very nice, easy to set up, unpack and pack back up, loved having the extra room. It even rained part of our trip 0 water got in , very happy and was definitely worth the wait.

    Any tips on packing this away? Do you fold it length or width wise? Just put it up quickly today for a nosey and was heavy to work with pulling it about

      I just follow the instructions, length wise and the first fold to the orange strap and then folding it the same length. But after the final fold I roll it width wise instead of folding. It helps to have a partner of course but you could do it on your own. When putting it in the bag I put the bag over the tent and kind of roll it in instead of trying to lift it into the bag. It’s big and heavy to lift.

      We had it for two years now and are very pleased. Takes 25min to pack if clean from everything else and is very easy to put up. We had it for 5 campsites and up in the garden for the kids several times.

      Hi. Haven’t used it in cold weather, tried it though in early spring with a electric heater, and it kept the warm. It has bin some nights with heavy rain, but we kept dry and felt safe. Don’t have any experience with wind so far, but the straps and Polens fels realtid sturdy. Really easy to put up and take down, but fills the whole trunk of our car so a roofbox is a must.
