Did You Know Series: Work Zone Incidents
If she was wearing her seatbelt, the consequences may have been so different. Sadly, even in the photograph of her in her truck, she doesn't appear to be wearing a seatbelt. The importance of wearing a seatbelt cannot be stressed highly enough. Look at the fatal car crash in which Diana, Princess of Wales, was involved. Of the 4 occupants of that horrific crash, the only survivor was the bodyguard, who was wearing his seatbelt.
No that once we gone we all get to see each other to get one time again
Is she smiling down on you guys cuz she's proud of you guys holding strong
Sorry for your loss no she's proud of you guys she loves you and she knows you guys miss her
Turn of power to cellphone when driving or use speaker phone.
Please please please STAY OFF THE FONE WHILE DRIVING,it's NOT worth 1's life.
What about thanking the emergency workers, apologising to first responders and other traumatised witnesses. May she rest in peace.
She was wearing no seatbelts? 💀
She was beautiful. 💀 😭
Wear your seatbelt and put the phone away
Sorry for Your loss. Please keep those Memories near and dear to Your Heart and Cherish them every day. Sending Huge Hugs for You All.❤
Why didn't her seatbelt work? It should have kept her in the driver seat 😮
sigma
I am so sorry for your family's life-changing loss. The loss of your mother or child is so very hard. OOOOOOO
If she had a issue already with no seat belt and texting then they should have taken her phone....
A damn seat belt would have saved her. A damn seat belt
Texting while driving and no seatbelt. Bound to happen.....
Please, people, put down the phone and wear your seatbelts !
📊🌏☯️👤👣🌌🤭
I just saw a short video about a US car manufacturer developing a new system that will automatically notify police if you are speeding. How about designers focusing on a way to block cell phones inside said car from texting?
Really scary here is the fact that politicians still listen to lobbyists from the cell phone companies instead of listening to the general public and safety experts from ES. Cell phones should absolutely be banned during all forms of driving.
Smart phone but no seat belt, definitely not smart !!
Don't blame cell phones. Lots of accidents before they were invented.
No cell phones and yes to seat belts
13 years later RUclips is suggesting this video; makes you wonder what sort of agenda they’re playing to.
That is funny!
Cell phones.... They should of never been. Life was less complicated without them.
You are so out of your mind if you think that is true. Omg 😑😑
They have ruined lives but also saved lives. Just like all technology.
Bring back 1.00 a minute airtime and charge for texts. That'll solve it right quick. Just like the 90s.
@@windsofmarchjourneyperrytr2823 You don't "bring it back," it was a necessity of the times when bandwidth was very limited and infrastructure was very expensive. Today wireless is fast as hell, it's almost everywhere and data plans are unlimited. Do you have a TV or know someone with one? They get more than two channels these days, too!
It’s not the cell phone, it’s the human beings who can’t prioritize safe driving over instant gratification. When my wife drives to town by herself I don’t call or text her during the times I know she’s driving; I wait for her to call or text me that she’s arrived safely and then I’ll communicate to her what ever it is that I wanted to say. So parents and friends don’t add to the danger of distracting your loved ones by bothering them while they’re behind the wheel!
Lucky that she didn't take anyone else out with her. Single car crash and a beautiful life gone to soon.
I'm 24, and I am able to put my phone down for periods of times. I don't get it how some people can't. I have misplaced my phone because I put it down and just forget about it. That's how unattached I am to my phone. I can never do anything but focus on the road. I have my phone on silent, and if I ever feel the importance and need to respond to a text or call, I pull over to the nearest OnRoute, or on the shoulder. Simple! But some people are too selfish and don't care about other people's safety and their own. It's awful. Drinking, doing drugs, and on your phone are all some of the worst things you can do as a driver because it was preventable. You could have chosen to wait until you get home to answer the phone or gotten a ride from someone in advance if you knew you were going to drink. It was a choice that you could have made but did not. Some of the worst car crashes are the ones that were easily preventable.
Who doesn’t wear a seatbelt? Her family should mention the stupidity of not buckling up!
Nope..the victim story...instead of helping others
This is heartbreaking. She seemed like a lovely girl
This ad is BULLSHIT!!! Many people have done it in the past and nothing bad has happened.
It's all in the way you are brought up. Some mature earlier than others. It's too bad something like this had to happen to such a young family.
I noticed a little grin from her sister . If it was mine I be crying my heart out.
Shame on you! ANYONE can manage 'a grin" anyone can move their lips. It could be a nervous smile. Has nothing to do with how devastated she must be!
At the end a daughter is gone forever…. Be kind on your comments 😢
These folks on here are all heart, aren't they?
wallahu minibar
To protect yourself from the temptation put your cell phone somewhere in the back seat where you can’t reach for it or even the trunk while you are driving. NO call or text is that important. It can wait until you stop. 🛑
I have speech to text and BT calling and answer in my vehicle.
ROT IN HELL!!!!!
If cell phones can catch cp they should be able to be shut off and not allowed to be used while driving
Apparently she wasn't wearing her seat belt. You have a Much better chance of surviving if you wear your seatbelt. VERY Sad. 😢
Kids don't need phones ! This will continue !
My condolences
The texting/using her cell phone is of course the feature of what happened. But so too is not wearing seatbelts. Had she worn seatbelts, she would've been held much moer secure as the truck whipped around, likely saving her life.
I don't think the truck could've rolled on top of her if she were wearing a seatbelt.
I feel as though if you are driving a vehicle you should never use a phone.....period..... if your vehicle is in motion. Driving demands 100 percent of your concentration. Anything less is asking for trouble.
🤦♂️
Texting and no seat belt . Knock on the reapers door eventually he will answer .
Yup
This family is in excruciating pain. It doesn't cost you a penny to be kind. RIP Alex
Seat belt might have been a good idea
Why can't people just leave their phones alone, when driving ?
I don't even answer mine while I'm in the house, let alone the vehicle.
Because they, like, might miss a selfie opportunity or some other narcissistic me me bullshit!
@@leftylou6070 Same here.
@@leftylou6070 You know where your phone is ?! I am impressed. Half the time I cannot even find mine.
Same
I feel texting and driving needs to have the same punishment as drunk driving. Then maybe people wouldn't do it as much.
So agree but they're not even going after drunk driving really they're letting them back out over and over again until they wipe out entire families
Criminalizing issues only detracts from education initiatives.
cops text and drive 24/7 and all the time, they probably even get training how to text and drive in Academy. their attitude toward TND'ing... they think nothing of it.
I doubt it, drunk driving is really common and even cops, lawyers and judges do it. They get paid to know not to do it too!
I couldn’t agree more. The same should be true for speeds over certain limits.
