They performed at sonisphere uk 2014 (first time out of Japan) and won over the hearts of 60,000 British metal heads at the age of 15/16, also this is SU metals favourite performance as they broke the west after it, BABYMETAL IJIMME DAME ZETTAI SONISPHERE UK 2014, i hope you review this one 👍🏼

From dusk till dawn : Budokan 2021 : when you double take at the vocals as you thought it was an instrument. Starlight : First of the trilogy of lights (Eulogy to Guitarist Mikio :RIP), brutal instrumentation with soaring and haunting vocals.

Nice one! Metal Kingdom is definitely epic, and by design, an anthemic opener. 1st song to the their 4th album, and the opener to Pia Arena MM’s day-2 show. Please check out *Megitsune,* from the same concert (Pia Arena MM). It truly is the best representation of Babymetal as a whole. This video will give you a the range of their full power! 🤘🦊

I didn’t see the opportunity or need for a guitar solo in this “opener” song to be honest. The Kamis do shine with solo song intros On few occasions and on those occasions, all members generally get a go, including Bass and Drums. Good breakdown of the song and enjoy your journey down the foxhole.

The last (on today) their album "The Other One" IMO is the best way to dive into BABYMETAL for oldschool rock&metal fans, cause it is more mature and solid and more "acceptable" for unprepared audience. The earlier stuff like "Doki Doki Morning" or "Gimme Chocolate" can be too confusing at first. So at their start BM got the same time love of the some part of audience and hate from the others. They were called "gimmick" or "factory plant" due to their idol background and unexpected blend of genres, not everybody was ready for. But time brings everything to their place. BM earned their fame by passion, talent, extremly hard work and believing in their way. "The Other One" is not full of guitar solos but can provide a true brilliants in the vocal crown of Su. For example "Monochrome" that has two versions - full metal and piano, both outstanding in their own sort. Thanks from Japan 有難う💛。I witnessed this very performance at the venue, Pia Arena, on April 2, 2023. I was in bliss watching this opening song with feeling of an eargasm and an eyegasm. I also hade goosebumps all over my body. This is the first song that was played after Momometal was officially inducted as the 3rd memeber. Yeah! I chanted all through the song ♪ Oh oh oh o o o ♪ to celebrate the nowborn BABYMETAL. What a happy experience!! I also felt as if I could see smiling faces of virtuoso Kamis : Chris, CJ, Clint and Anthony, through their masks. They have shared tough experiences with the girls untill reaching this happy moment. The flying drones with cameras were manipulated by drone racing experts, like Ms. Shiraishi.

Man, a solo would have been delicious, but considering it in context as the opening song on a concept album, it's absence makes more sense. What makes less sense is the absence of a breakdown in the following song, but I've made my peace with that. XD Nice video. 🤘🦊🤘

Thank you so much for this thoughtful breakdown. I've seen more than a few people want more from the guitars, but I don't miss them - at least in part because this song is a processional and tells a story. The album that this came off of - The Other One - was a concept album (if only just barely), so I'm sure some of that was intentional. It has the feel of an introit, with Su's powerful vocals and the chorus from Moa and Momo. It's one of my favorite songs from The Other One, as Su is using a deeper tone to her vocals and less head voice.

My favorite MV for someone new to Babymetal is: "Headbanger" Legend of 1997 live. This concert is from 2013 and Su celebrated her 16th birthday to day before. Yui and Moa are 14!! If you get through "Headbanger", I'll give you the closing performance for the concert.

Nice one, thanks! Don't worry, BABYMETAL is confusing for everyone at first because they are totally different from everything else in so many ways. This performance of "METAL KINDOM" is exactly how you open an epic concert. Even the outfits were specific for this song. Not much choreo here tho, just anticipating the battle. I consider the bridge even more epic than the chorus itself, with Su-metal's powerful vocals over the chants and the instrumental accents. One interesting thing about their composing is the fact they include this kind of chants and the parts sung by Moa and Momoko to interact with the audience, since in Japan is impolite to sing along the lead singer. That alone shows how oriented they are to the live performances (they are sometimes considered a live act). 🤘🦊

The second time they used these thrones. In the first concert it was mostly based on Su and Moa and a lot of the old girls from Sakura Gakuin. But the song is mostly a presentation. The first time it was their step back on stage, after their long hiatus, while this performance showed they are back, as a new Group and a Trio again. Another change was that from now one they had their own continous Band. The old Kami Band was aimply unable to maintain their insane schedule of more than 100 concerts in a year. So now the original Kami Band West is their constant companion. US musicians and it is now more and more obvious, that the girls try to integrate them more and more in their show. They have still grown and after their experiences in last years Festival Circus the have now decided to risk their first European and UK Arena Tour. The difference is they are often a bit smaller than Japanese Arenas, their purpose is a bit different. In Europe you don't drive for one concert so many miles. They are normally all around 20.000 people tops

First off great really thoughtful reaction with insightful observations. Su's voice really soars in this performance-I know when doesn't it-but you know what I mean. I have to agree with you on the IMO the one missing ingredient. The drop. This song is the perfect set up for even just a short metal breakdown. The first time I saw this on the MV I kept waiting and it never came. The song seemed flat and it wasn't until this epic performance at PIA Arena that I really started to like the song. Every thing else about the performance here is sooo epic it kinda covers. But, damn I just wish to hear those screaming guitars. Nice job with this reaction.

Great reaction and analysis. This was the opening number on the second night of the two concerts they played at the PIA MM Arena on 1st and 2nd April 2023. Momometal had been revealed as the long awaited new 3rd member at the end of the first night. Su and Moa had been performing as a duo supported by the Avengers, three dancers who would take turns dancing (but not singing) in the third spot, for 4 or 5 years since original third member Yuimetal had left the band because of her poor health. Momoko Okazaki was the only remaining Avenger after about March 2020. She earned her place as an official member. This being the first song on the second night, it was also Momometal's very first song as an official member and, being the first time she had her own microphone, finally able to support Moametal with the harmonies. I think you would appreciate the performance from the very next song they performed after 'Metal Kingdom' - that would be 'Megitsune' live at PIA Arena 2023 and it is a song that possibly best represents what BABYMETAL is all about.

What about Christian albums? You should stick to Christian bands exclusively. So many unknown Christian metal bands in need of exposure. Secular bands get too much attention. Christian bands, not enough. Be hit or cold but avoid being lukewarm. We know what happens if we’re lukewarm. God’s not impressed. His bless and Metal on…Christian Metal!

The lineup you named off was their previous lineup, as Saki left several months ago, and they are now a four-piece with Hazuki now handling all the lead guitar duties and Mayu taking on some rhythm guitar. In this video, Hazuki is the one ding the second solo and the dive bombs. Also, slight correction on how you said a couple of their names: Mahu = "mah-yu," (though "my-yu" is pretty close) not "may-yu" Tamu = "tah-mu," not "tay-mu" (actually her name is Ai ("ah-ee") Murata, as "tamu" is just a nickname referring to her fondness for playing toms)
