Just got done installing a complete paccar mx13 in a 2021 Pete. Truck was was tore down to a bare block between the frame rails from a different shop. I appreciate a 60 series or any 3406 cat so much more… not to mention this Mx13 only has 175,000 miles
Hello Friends, I have a daf model 2020 mx13 engine, engine retard. Why does this engine damage the valve stem, and I have seen several cases that their valve stem also breaks quickly, and this is a weakness for this engine. Is this weakness due to the construction of this engine or is there a reason that causes this problem, please guide me, this is a problem. The second question is what type of oil is suitable for this engine. Thanks
Horrible maintenance heavy as hell need 3 people to remove
Hey guys, don’t get fooled by the shiny parts on this engine. I’ve been going back-and-forth for the last month with these guys to stand behind their engines blown head gasket 500,000 miles. We all expect at least 1,000,000 miles of service without going into the engine that’s not the case with this engine, so buyer beware they will not stand behind it.

I have to say I was skeptical of the paccar mx13, we have 2 in feed trucks and 23,000 hours later I had to pull a head, so that's about 950,000 miles. We have had sensor issues related to emissions but the engine is a work horse, it's been solid. I definitely have new respect for the mx13.
